If Vijay can make 1 more 40+ score , he must be persisted for away tours. Eventually he may make centuries against NZ or other teams, where bowlers won' t be this threatening.

Blunt the new ball, Dhawan looks a bit lost about how he should go about his innings on foreign soil. Hoping these 2 get better, but please boys beat the new ball to death before losing your wicket.

Though it was premature to drop him.

Though it was premature to drop him.[/quote'] Main reason was to accommodate Yuvraj singh. With Viru, ganguly, dravid, laxman sehwag, chopra they could not include Yuvraj. So they took the punt. Chopra did come back later against Australia. 4 single digits against them did not exactly help his cause.

Marut Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Vijay has surely put in considerable effort before this tour. I was genuinely impressed by his new found technique and confidence. He saw through the new ball and with some luck he would have made more runs. Dhawan was disappointing but I hope he can turn things around.
