FischerTal Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I dont want to start off a war, but it is a historical fact that India has produced better batsmen than Pakistan. What could be the reasons for pakistan's lack of producing greats in this department?
saket123 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Pakistanis in general lack a good temperament. for them, if it doesn't give you an adrenaline rush.. it ain't worth it. that's why you seem focusing too much on faaaaaast bowling more than anything else.
Trichromatic Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Pakistani batting wasn't weaker than Indian batting till 90s or mid-90s.
Laaloo Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 They dont eat as much as red meat as their bowlers do
Old guy Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Pakistani batting wasn't weaker than Indian batting till 90s or mid-90s. Be ready to get shot down by trolls :giggle:

Texan Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Pakistani batting wasn't weaker than Indian batting till 90s or mid-90s. That's true. They had produced some legendary batsmen like Miandad and Zaheer Abbas, whereas we had produced Gavaskar and Hazare. Only, in the 90s, things started to change. Inzamam and Yousuf Youhana/Mohd Yousuf, as good as they were, weren't in the same league as Sachin and Dravid. Even now, Indian batting shows a lot more promise than some of the young Pakistani batsmen. I think part of the reason is their isolation from world cricket of late where they've not played at home in a long long time.
Subeshkumar Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 when it comes about batting india has better players but on other hands pakistan has produced better versions of bowlers than india
Gunner Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Pakistani batting wasn't weaker than Indian batting till 90s or mid-90s. Mid-90s is when Afridi came into the side...
Hafeez Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Mid-90s is when Afridi came into the side... in 1980s era and in 1990s era Pakistan bating/Bowling both were better than Indian Bating/Bowling
jairamesh Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Pakistani batsmen just don't have the mental capacity to bat for long periods, especially overseas. And they pussy away from any challenges hence their frequent Bangladesque batting collapses.
kubrickian Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Batting requires concentration, skill and intelligence which Pakis lack because of their lack of education.
Junyfan Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 can not remember when our middle order batsman scored a century(odi)? In 2010-11 Afridi,Razaq scored but they were lower order batsmen.
Trichromatic Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 in 1980s era and in 1990s era Pakistan bating/Bowling both were better than Indian Bating/Bowling Not really

Sooda Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Not really It kinda was! Pak were probably the second best test side in the world in the 80's... and better team than Indian through the 90's, batting was probably as good not much better but bowling was of course much superior back then. Even Mushtaq Ahmed was winning them tests in Eng and SA so was not just their pacemen
rkt.india Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Pakistan has world class fast bowlers on their streets which give Pakistani batsmen nightmares. Even while they are batting, they cannot see anything but those nightmares.
