Indeed. It's about choosing the lesser of the evil's here. And Srini has been the worst board president for quite a while and that takes some doing in BCCI.
Most of the problems is the rise of social media in the past few years and English/Aus/SA journalists trying to target BCCI for everything. Next president is going to get the same reception.

seriously? you dont think Srini has been terrible? every thing he has done from IPL to ICC dealings screams of avarice,nepotism and ham handedness.

MUMBAI: Another startling piece of information tumbled out in the IPL spot-fixing scandal on Friday. An ICC official, known as "Terry", had warned CSK team principal Gurunath Meiyappan that the latter was under surveillance for betting, Mumbai police officials said.

Important thing to know is which transcripts they are talking about when these guys were not tracked before Delhi police broke this out. Did Mumbai police tap their phones? because Delhi police did not investigate them.

technically he may survive due to the vote politics..but if the office bearers of BCCI resign & not cooperate, its difficult for him to manage both India Cements & BCCI affairs.
