Ishant will end up with more than 300 odi wickets ... He is Indian afridi without the big hits.
Even Afridi will take offence to this comment...this guy is incomparable. Just 2 overs and he has already given WI more than ray of hope to win this game. Pathetic Arun lal goes this far to say he is a wicket taker...are u kidding me 80 odd wkts from 63 matches...even Madan Lal had a better record.

90 wickets in 63 matches, works out to around 1.5 wickets per match, quite good by Indian standards. And since his comeback, 15 ODIs, 25 wickets. As for Madan lal, 67 matches, 73 wickets, you do the maths :--D

Among Indian bowlers with more than 50 ODI wickets, Ishant has the best strike rate :hatsoff: But also has the 2nd worst ER, better only by Sreesanth.
One of the biggest problems with Ishant is his inconsistency. He is inconsistent in terms of control, pace and bounce. Sometimes he looks like a good bowler but more often than not he looks bad. That is is why he has bad ER. His real strength is bounce and he should use that consistently. His recent higher than his average wicket taking has been because he has generated more bounce than he did in the last 2 years.
