Deleted_User_1 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I hope Sir continues to excel. I like Sir, but I was disappointed greatly with Sir after the clash with Raina. Raina is a very humble guy, total team man. To accuse him of dropping the catch because he lost captaincy or for whatever reason, Sir had no business going up to him in front of everyone and fighting with Raina. If you have differences, sort it out in the dressing you, not in public. This type of brash behavior does not suit you Sir. You are not Kohli. For that Sir, :finger: !!!
Vilander Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 When will Ishant be found out.... He is 6 ft tall' date= cant miss him.. should be easy to find:winky: you left the remaining half feat.
Vilander Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Give OP a break! He is not talking about our very own Sir Jadeja but some guy called Jadega :hysterical::hysterical:
JaFanatic Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 The last few matches we have not been bowling second therefore batsman are not under pressure to score and take chances and Jadega is looking ordinary. He has done well no doubt but does not have the quality to bowl when you require more than a good line/length to get wickets. Those using the words Kapil Dev and Jadega in the same sentence were going overvboard. This is not a kneejerk reaction, he still deserves chances but time will show that him and DK are passengers! This is a life time lesson for you dont mess with Sir again :headshake:

maniac Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Jadeja is still a mediocre cricketer...He is in the team as an all-rounder....Poor batsman,Brilliant fielder and an average boelwer whi has hit a purple patch......This SIR hysteria is only a passing trend. And how many important matches has this guy cost for us in the process to get here...I am happy for him that he has been good recently,But he is still a mediocre player

maniac Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 How many? Contributed to 2 T20 WC exits. That SRT 175 match. Again I am not holding him completely responsible but was a major culprit in all those games. As I said he has improved his bowling and I am definetely in on this SIR trend/Joke ,but the fact is he is mediocre who has gotten more chances than he deserved and beleive me no one else would have been persisted after being responsible to 2 big F'ups like that

One of them is currently playing in the Ashes and is arguably the best spinner in the world.

As far as improvement goes....I don't see any improvement in his batting....His bowling was always decent in ODI's even when he was being ridiculed...In tests he is still our 3rd best spinner behind Ashwin and Ojha-Dont go by the Aussie series. So the only thing keeping him in the game so far apart from keeping is his bowling which has been good...I always said Jadeja can be dangerous for he opposition when they treat him like a part-timer and for the home-team if they treat him like a front-line bowler.

In 2010 it was a poor decision from Dhoni to send Jadeja in so high up the order in such a crunch game. In 2011 he bowled badly but he had been banned in the IPL that year and i don't think he should have been selected in the squad let alone the starting XI.

That line of thinking depends on circumstances - India has struggled to find a half-decent all rounder for 2 decades now. In ODIs, we're always doing with some make shift strategy like batsmen keeping wickets or bowling. MS Dhoni has helped give our ODI side great balance as we now have arguably the best ODI batsmen in the world in our line up. In addition, a half-decent all rounder (particularly in the ODI side) helps the balance in the team. To understand what I'm saying, try looking at the number of spinners Australia have tried after Warne's retirement - some people do get the rope not due to potential but paucity of resources. It is all about the supply-demand chain.

He has got this many chances because he is talented .Just like why Rohit is getting chances for years
