Fontaine Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 This guy is the best limited overs captain the game has seen in a long, long time. Dhoni has a pretty strong say in selection and the final playing XI and all the players know that and perform like that*. Virat is just a boy compared to MSD. *Except Mooli, he just sucks with or without Dhoni.
trundlerNO1 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I am not accepting this performance at all. They get millions to represent India, and they have to preform much better.
Fontaine Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I am not accepting this performance at all. They get millions to represent India, and they have to preform much better. Correction, they already got millions to represent the IPL. Money doesn't buy effort after an IPL season, Champions Trophy etc etc Otherwise every joe blow could slot in as captain and say "You get millions to represent India, and you have to perform much better."
maniac Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Almost every member of this squad is going to be in CLT20 and I bet they will rate that tournament over this useless tournament
jalebi_bhai Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 CT hangover and Rat's garbage captaincy......should've played a second string but WICB would've started crying then.......
ravishingravi Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I think they have been overworked simply. I feel sorry for them now. They look weary.
virufan Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 :hysterical:For me it looks like a bunch of schoolkids on the field without the PT master.
Rocky Balboa Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Learning curve for kohli. His field placements were so bad..
abbicory Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 India will surely miss its captain with the Midas touch-Dhoni, who has led them to cricketing heights unheard of in India's sports history. But here in lies an opportunity-for India's freshest captain Virat Kohli who will lead India for the remainder of the series.
SLICKR392 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Learning curve for kohli. His field placements were so bad.. They were crap throughout the match. Was better against WI.
Sidhoni Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 For me it looks like a bunch of schoolkids on the field without the PT master. +
Detonator Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I would say, lack of preparation... Dhoni's sudden injury and taking up reponsibility.. Koholololi don't saw that coming.. Dhoni shld ve rested himself and given the captaincy to Kohli before this tournament :hmmm:
Sidhoni Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Yeah we were setting the world on fire last match with our batting when Dhoni was playing. Players are just dis-interested after long CT. With or without Dhoni doesn't matter
CG Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 It does make a difference. Huge gaps on the leg side when your bowlers are bowling short which was a lame field setup throughout the innings. With Kohli as the captain, they never really bothered about their fielding. Uses Jadeja way too soon in the innings. Usually before the 15th over and gets hammered and gets Aswhin into the action later into the game. Captaincy did make a difference but it had more to do with our sluggish approach. Luck & pitches play a important part in cricket. In eng pitches were little quicker and turned which brought jadeja and ashwin in to the game,In wi we have slow low pitches which negate jadeja speed. Also our batting was top dependant ,how well shikar dhawan played in ct it is not possible to continue in same Form.Ishant is bowling too short with no pace he got lucky vs eng but he will struggle. Offcourse a new captain that too a stop gap one will not be able to command same respect but really players needed to be back home rather than play this boring series.
King Tendulkar Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 And people talk about my threads. Massive win under Mr Kohli. Captain / Coach blah blah. 99% of it is down to good players doing well or vice versa.
Sidhoni Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Who was at the boundary line telling Bhuvi where to bowl at Gayle? :giggle:
Lord Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Who was at the boundary line telling Bhuvi where to bowl at Gayle? :giggle: why couldnt he do it v Lanka Dhoni :poink:
