G_B_ Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 @KT people are not panicking, but in the case of DK he seems to not perform when it matters. 59 odis and an average of 27.7 which is further boosted by many non outs when he came out to bat when very little was there to be done. Now considering the technique DK has and some of the shots he plays for me he should easily be averaging 40 with the bat at a strike rate of 80. His highest score in the ODIs is 79. This is what frustrates me the most about DK. So many times i remember him making a fluent 20 odd before getting out. That 20 always has some very good strokes in it. Now i would give DK an extended run in the side. Obviously he will play the remaining matches as a keeper in the squad. But i will also give him the Zim series. If he cant get a few big scores in that series then unfortunately its time to say goodbye. As a Mumbai Indians fan i do hope we keep him. Its sad he performs so well at domestic level and fails to convert starts into big scores in the odis.
vishalvirsingh Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Raydu is sure to Suceed as he has always been a run away sucess in MI .... He is definitely a much better bet than Murli...ysterday Murli looked very uncomfortable Raydu shud play ahead of Vijay and Bhuvi in front of ISHANT or shammi and things will fall back in place...

Mahaa Raavana Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Vijay deserves more chances, has the potential to be the next Viv Richards....:secret:
saneindian Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Vijay clearly struggles in adjusting his game across formats. He started his test career looking like a technically sound batsman, failed in IPL, changed his technique to do well in IPL, struggled in tests post that, finetuned his game again to do well in Tests but now looks clueless in shorter formats. Was always going to be a poor choice for ODIs. Hopefully they dont repeat the folly and pick him for Zim ODIs. As for DK, needs a run in the side. Looked to have sorted his game out during CT, struggling in WI. His keeping has been quite good though. Zim ODIs could be his last chance
jusarrived Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 DK is one of the most versatile batsmen we have . No obvious weakness in technique . Strong on both sides of the wickets . Clean striker of the ball & can improvise when required . Needs one big knock to settle down imo .
rkt.india Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 VK' date='BK,Rayudu in for Mooli,Ishant,Shami:two_thumbs_up:[/quote'] Shami needs to stay. VK is no future. Win-loss does not matter here, needs to develop new bowlers.
FischerTal Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 they are keeping pujara out :wall: knee problems maybe??? want to preserve him for tests
Old guy Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 knee problems maybe??? want to preserve him for tests it cant be that bad.. he can easily play odis maybe dont play him in all ..
namasteji1 Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Well if Pujara is not taken in the team because of Knee problems, then Yuvraj should have never played after his knee injury which required surgery and he is avoiding that till now. He is never that player and fielder which he was before that knee injury.
kumar713 Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Vijay's ODI Career has ended before even getting started:dance:
