trundlerNO1 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Every time I see him bowl, he bowl shyte. Time to look ahead, I am fed to see him bowl for India. It is really depressing.
deathmonger Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 He does pick up wkts though. His ODI avg this year is 24-25. His overall ODI avg is less than 30.
vvvslaxman Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 He is in a great "lucky" mode.. so he will be persisted with until he stops getting wickets.
deathmonger Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 He is in a great "lucky" mode.. so he will be persisted with until he stops getting wickets. Ha ha yes. Unlike Bhuvi, Ash or Jaddu who have bowled this year Ishant has got loads of wickets via luck. He's been one of the best ODI pacers this year (statistically atleast). I'm not complaining though. One of the main reasons for our dominance in recent times is the fact that we have four wicket taking bowlers out of which 3 have economy rates below 5 (1 nearly around 4).
JaFanatic Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 he has mastered the art bouncing the batsmen out :aha: now averaging in 20s
CSK Fan Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 BK being deprived of all these free wickets, too bad
Number Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Next time he says he doesn't get wickets because he is unlucky, he should be
Silva Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 he hasnt been that lucky according to cricinfo, I Sharma to Thirimanne, no run, dropped! by Ashwin at first slip! A healthy edge that was dipping to his left, and Ashwin went down in time, but was unable to wrap his fingers around it. Bad bad miss I Sharma to Eranga, 1 run, very tough chance goes down, another move to leg and another swipe, goes in the region of third man, Rohit runs across and dives, but it eludes him I Sharma to Sangakkara, FOUR, Sanga charges out, slogs and gets a top edge that flies to the third man boundary, the fielder had been moved squarer I Sharma to Thirimanne, FOUR, this time to the right of Ashwin, and he has no need to dive this time, it has raced to the boundary, a thick edge from Thirimanne as he tried to steer a short of a length ball I Sharma to Jayawardene, SIX, that's gone way over the fine leg boundary, Mahela was walking outside the crease, Ishant banged it short of a length, it came around chest height, Mahela was in a poor position but hooked with force as he pulled his head away, and the ball flew over the man at fine leg I think batsman test their luck against Ishant for what ever reason and its working to ishants advantage. If Ishant is picking up wickets and helping India bowl out teams early it doesn't matter that much if he is expensive.
saneindian Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 You won't see him bowl at least for the next 75 days days now :two_thumbs_up:
Sachin=GOD Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 here's something for those who have been constantly criticizing him: Iframe: Open in new window 3rd highest wicket taker in ODIs this year. BTW Sir is at the top :adore:

maniac Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I will be the first to put my hand up and say Ishant has been expensive but then I would realise he is one of the highest wicket takers this year, then I would say to myself he is still expensive  then I would look aty the situations he is been bowling in and then say to myself,Any format of cricket the way to win is picking up wickets not contain
adi B Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 he`ll get dropped when dhoni will get sick of his blow-job
JaFanatic Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 best strike rate ever by an indian bowler averaging in 20s dunno what more people want from him in ODIs

jusarrived Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 he bowls better in Tests , but picks wicktes in LOI's . On current performance you cannot drop him
JaFanatic Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 he bowls better in Tests , but picks wicktes in LOI's . On current performance you cannot drop him there are many better bowlers than him in tests he shouldn be anywhere near test squad unless he proves his worth in first class but for ODIs its a crime to replace him he is our best 3rd bowler atm
