Reiterating the point that domestic bullynath deserves 10 straight tests before making a decision to discard him. He could be selected instead of the hacks yuvraj/ raina and should come before Dhoni. Alternately if tendulkar retires then they can slot this guy in. I see that Sehwag is also waiting for Tendulkar retirement,but without scoring in domestic cricket, chances of Sehwag getting back is close to nil.

He doesn't have the 'It' factor......simple......Kohli, Dhawan, Dhoni.......they have 'It'.......there is nothing intimidating about Badri's batting.......His style of batting is about attrition.......he is a watered down version of Dravid, with half the temperament and minus the elegance....... point is he should have been given an extended 5-6 match run. If he could not hack it drop him. The likes of Yuvi and Raina are neither domestic or international bullies in test/first class cricket.

I have seen enough. Only a short knock but this guy is class and needs a good run in all form of international cricket, especially Tests. Looks technically very good, calm and composed. Unlike some other like Virat he flashes away and looks suspect. I can see why he has scored bucket loads of runs in FC cricket. He knows his game and is ready to go. Right age as well as clearly matured enough to be ready for near instant success. No need for 1 year development like other yougsters. Also electric runner btwn wickets and very good fileder. I am very excited about this guy. Looks like the man to me!

Don't think he is not picked because of lack of first class stat. He does have. Just that international cricket appears to be too big for him. He has a valid point that he didn't get a decent run. But honestly selectors have made the right decision omitting him.
