kumar713 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Bradmanath's statement : "I still can't score runs in front of the wicket against quick bowling" :finger:
vijay50 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Reiterating the point that domestic bullynath deserves 10 straight tests before making a decision to discard him. He could be selected instead of the hacks yuvraj/ raina and should come before Dhoni. Alternately if tendulkar retires then they can slot this guy in. I see that Sehwag is also waiting for Tendulkar retirement, but without scoring in domestic cricket, chances of Sehwag getting back is close to nil.
vijay50 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Raman Lamba - God Bless His Soul WV Raman WV Raman was a plunderer in domestics Did Lamba do ok in Intl cricket? Average.Scored one or two centuries and vaguely remember that he died because of the ball hitting his head, when he ducked while fielding without helmet.
jalebi_bhai Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 He doesn't have the 'It' factor......simple......Kohli, Dhawan, Dhoni.......they have 'It'.......there is nothing intimidating about Badri's batting.......His style of batting is about attrition.......he is a watered down version of Dravid, with half the temperament and minus the elegance....... I do feel bad for him though......
Crookbond Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Actual headline in the interview that appeared in Deccan Chronicle : 'Bat'rinath ready to score CI uses the same article, puts some masala and produces a spicier headline. CI cites the Deccan Chronicle article and Badrinath did say, "I want to make a statement this season."
FischerTal Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Oi Badri, Lungi dance pe dhyaan de, yeh test cricket tere bas ki baat nahi haan :hehe:
King Tendulkar Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Well dont rule him out. He plays for csk!!! Srini, Dhoni and rhiti will look after him.
rkt.india Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 CI cites the Deccan Chronicle article and Badrinath did say' date=' "I want to make a statement this season."[/quote'] He makes a statement to make a statement by getting runs.
Lord Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Well dont rule him out. He plays for csk!!! Srini, Dhoni and rhiti will look after him. you dont rate him?:hmmm:
King Tendulkar Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 you dont rate him?:hmmm: He is ok actually. But just if there is a chance he may get call cos of connections. I just think his time may have passed and younger prosopects are better options
G_B_ Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 point is he should have been given an extended 5-6 match run. If he could not hack it drop him. The likes of Yuvi and Raina are neither domestic or international bullies in test/first class cricket.
Sachinism Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Such a shame, despite playing for CSK all these years he still gets ignored for India
rkt.india Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Such a shame' date=' despite playing for CSK all these years he still gets ignored for India[/quote'] He needs to join Rhiti as well.
The Outsider Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 you dont rate him?:hmmm: You've been here long enough to know KT covers all possible bases: ^ Badri is rubbish. Stop your support of southies and zonal bias. It even lead you to jump out in defence of that oily rat Sivaramakrishana. This thread is an embarrsment to OP creator!! http://indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=2079286&postcount=128 I have seen enough. Only a short knock but this guy is class and needs a good run in all form of international cricket, especially Tests. Looks technically very good, calm and composed. Unlike some other like Virat he flashes away and looks suspect. I can see why he has scored bucket loads of runs in FC cricket. He knows his game and is ready to go. Right age as well as clearly matured enough to be ready for near instant success. No need for 1 year development like other yougsters. Also electric runner btwn wickets and very good fileder. I am very excited about this guy. Looks like the man to me! http://indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=470458&postcount=1 He is ok actually. But just if there is a chance he may get call cos of connections. I just think his time may have passed and younger prosopects are better options http://indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=2570444&postcount=31

Texan Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Don't think he is not picked because of lack of first class stat. He does have. Just that international cricket appears to be too big for him. He has a valid point that he didn't get a decent run. But honestly selectors have made the right decision omitting him. :agree: 100% Not fit for international cricketer.
Texan Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 There are many domestic beast's who just weren't cut out for Intl. Cricket. Wasim Jaffer' date=' Badrinath, are the Indian exemplary's to this league.[/quote'] Unfair to bracket Jaffer with Badrinath. Jaffer has 2 Test double hundreds including one in WI and one against Pak.
