But wasn't banning this news and controlling the situation the right thing to do? What would happen if the news had been publicized, how would it have helped? It would have only caused more riots across the country and/or in Kashmir. Or where you guys waiting for this news to then go and fight them in Kashmir? You have to ask yourself, what do these people want by causing such instability, what do they want by killing. Of course to spread tension and riots and bring it to the world media attention. Which is exactly what we should avoid doing no matter the provocation. Pakistan would like no better than to splash this news all over our and world media, it will play right into their hands. They have been trying since always to bring Kashmir onto the world map and all over the media. Our military is anyways fighting as hard as they can, publicizing the news would not help in any ways possible

Why have traitor government banned media coverage of Kashmir violence?? Fecking spineliness goverment Despicable. I didn't know Hindus still reside in Kashmire.

However, banning media in any other situation gives space to canards and lies in this day and age of social media. Just in this thread, someone posted a link from Jihaad watch which claimed outlandish figures for the scale of violence there. If credible media was covering the event, such jingoistic attempts would have been sidelined.
