Number Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Chepu is not a captaincy material. Imagine him speaking in the press conference after winning the world cup "My wife told me that you will have to perform so I had to put extra effort as there was pressure on me". :haha:

Cricketics Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Divide the work Odi's - KOHLI Twenty20 - Rohit but ideally I want a bowler to captain. Its a game where I think having bowler as captain can make a difference as bowler can understand this game better by changing things according the opposition batsman's ability. Test-Pujara
maniac Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Rohit-All 3 formats....Virat V.C......Rohit has nerves of steel as he showed in IPL.Kohli can get carried away sometimes but he should be the 2nd to Rohit. As far as Pujara goes....Too meek....and only good at 1 format :fail: thread....Rohit wins hands down

someone Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 You do not have to be the best player to captain a team. When Dhoni become captain, he was nowhere the best or even top 3 players in the team. Some players become better players when they are captains. Dhoni is one great example. Thereby, it's stupid to rule out many other players such as Raina, Ashwin, Dhawan. Raina is a interesting case as he is the most experienced player after Dhoni. And does not have any ego issues and a well-liked player all round. Probably my preference.
