They need to try someone different and give them room to make mistakes , Yadav was unfairly given the boot to begin with. No zaheer plz that is going backwards, Zaheer is also one who can be rattled very easily during death overs.

Look no further than Jadeja, if you think a player can't make a comeback if he gets rabid hate from fans and blamed for losses single handedly. Jadeja was blamed for 2 T20 world cup knock outs(which is bigger than this random ODI), and now he is one of the top ODI ranked players. So if he works hard and has captain's backing then there is always a chance for him. On top of that, almost no competition in the fast bowling dept.

Curators should be asked to prepare slightly bowler friendly tracks, only then the change in personnel will work. I don't think you can blame track for yesterday's mess, it was down to utter lack of ability to perform not just under pressure but overall too. Ishant was being carted all over the park from ball one it just happened that he had his second spell after a wicket fell so he looked respectable. Vinay is no better also.

He will have go out and work on them. Ishant has not even seen his coach, Shravan, in a long time.

Actually he no longer trains with Shravan when in Delhi. Has now moved the Vasant Kunj Sports Complex and trains with a friend of his. The poor coach has been shouting from the roof tops I can set the boy straight, get the technical glitches corrected and get him back to his original action, Ishant has paid no heed, focusing more on the advice of int'l coaches and looking totally confused.

There is plenty of help for that fricking idiot, he says he is hit the deck bowler and wants to stick to his strengths which is fine but hit the deck bowlers normally have to be faster than swing bowlers.They cannot be trundling away is low 130s. Ishant is bowling his natural length but due to lack of pace they are just sitting to be smashed by even tailender. Once he get that pace back he needs to work on other aspect or he is gone case , I don't think he has any other skill to survive in international cricket.

He is not getting his basics right and is out of rhythm, wrist position is poor, runs in gingerly. Without these issues resolved, he wont generate high pace. Regarding his coach, still his coach has worked with his since his junior days and knows him and his action well. At least, he can watch his old videos of 2008 and see what right he was doing then.

Sorry I just dont buy this argument of his coach , don't you think other than his coach Indian management not just this one but old one too since Ishant has been crap for long time would have studied what he was doing then and what he is doing now. No, he was not. He started doing badly from T20 WC 2009. Remember CB series 2008. He bowled some good spells even in that series and was a big factor we won that series, but he changed his action in 2009 starting T20 WC 2009. People advised him to get outswing and he by himself started bowling differently. He neither got outswing or could kept his pace intact. Due to the change in his action, he lost pace and his wrist position. You can even today check his 2008 CB series video and his bowling now, you will find the difference in his action and approach. Even if he had continued on the same approach he had back then he could have been some bowler, but he has regressed because of too much tinkering with his action time and time again to get that outswing going.
