Cricketics Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I think it's good to invest in Bhajji. We should pick him when he is having some confidence. We are still 2 months away from South Africa tour or 3 months away from New Zealand tour, we should bring Bhajji back for one of those tours. We need him overseas. Against Windies, India won't really need him, as he will be too good for the, but Bhajji coming back for NZ tour or South African tour along with Zaheer will give us the experience and class of both. He should have plenty plenty of first class games for Punjab by then. He performed well today and with another 4-5 FC games till those series, he should be fully ready.
Lord Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 hes finished imo.better to look for young spinners
Pagalpanti Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 The way Ashwin is going in ODI's, he might be worth a try in shorter formats. In tests he's done and also Ojha/Ashwin/Jaddu have been doing very well, no reason to put Bhajji ahead in the pecking order.

Cricketics Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 In odi's or twenty20, our best bet for now has to be Mishra and Ojha. One should just see how enticing and big turn they have for this format. No wonder both get lot of wickets. When batsman is going bezerk, they know how to take wickets. For twenty20 that is.
Ibes Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 No to Bhajji. Why would we want to bring him back ? He would struggle against the Kiwis still.
Gunner Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 A young and classical off-spinner like Parvez Rasool is a better option IMO.
express bowling Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Do we have any genuinely good wrist spinnner who is turning the ball on any surface and actually getting wickets too ?
cowboysfan Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 bhajji is washed up(long time ago),cant believe Tics wants him back.
Pagalpanti Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 even in ODIs,I would first go to guys like Rassool,Rahul Sharma,Karan Sharma b4 going to Bhajji I think Ashwin is fine for now.won us the CT final. He just needs to be told to stop doing his experiments mid game True Ashwin is a lot better when he keeps it simple and bowls to a plan. Whenever he tries his variations and that annoying pause ball, he really loses it. Also it wont be a bad idea to rotate spinners in ODI's, making Ashwin play all the formats might take his edge away.
vvvslaxman Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Bhajji has not done anything outstanding to earn a recall. it is not like he has remodelled his action or suddenly stopped daring the ball.
Laaloo Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 No thank you. Time to give it a rest to tried and tested failures like Harbhajan and the sambhar sniffer ashwin and blood someone new for the world cup. Harbhajan is past it and Ashwin isn't cutting it. It's time for Team India to get with the program.
India-KXIP fan Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 He'll definitely be back, just needs a few more performances in Ranji. The fact that he did so well in SA and NZ last time he toured there is why he will get preference. Obviously he is favorite to make the SA squad, the starting XI depends on Ashwin's form. Ashwin will face a big team (batting wise) for the second time in SA.

Sean Bradley Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 What has he done really to warrant a place in the Indian Test side again? i think you want Harbhajan back into the side coz ashwin has started bowling crap, So you want to replace crap with another crap :hmmm:
Executioner Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Ashwin has been ordinary in shorter formats so should be dropped but for a more promising player. Bhajan should be done and dusted
CG Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 To be honest ,Bhajji has been bowling well in t20s in ipl and ct.May be we can bring him for t20s and odis.
