I could never understand the humor in making fun of a departing player. I feel sad for him. Not because I wanted him in the team, but because at one point he showed immense potential but then he never realized that potential. He had a shot at real greatness, but like many before him, somewhere he fell short. I have little doubt that he put his best efforts in, that he desperately tried to hold on as he was slipping down the slope faster and faster. The mockery in this thread almost suggests that Ishant's failures were by design and he somehow willfully hurt the team's interest by bowling bad. I have little doubt that he did his best whenever he was called upon to play for India. If his best fell short of our expectations, it was quite definitely not his fault. If he was selected to play again and again in spite of repeated failures, it was hardly his fault either. He did give us some thrilling moments when he was new and I thank him for those moments and wish him luck in wherever life takes him.

What fickle fair weather fan? Kuch bhi! The amount of rope he's got, no other player might've got. And what has he done so far in return? Brainless pathetic trundler... Good riddance.... He took his position for granted and started proclaiming himself as the bowling 'spearhead' of Indian team, instead of working on his basics, dumping his local bowling coach etc. He became over confident and arrogant ( like Gambhir). Even Gambhir hasn't sorted out his batting technique... So good riddance to him too... The guy is brainless... So even if he makes a come back ( using his connections) he's not going to bring any new skills on the table...unless he grows some brain...

I don't agree with the points you made that he had no pace , swing or seam. He had all those things you mentioned but he lost it somewhere, somehow and its sad that none of the coaches could sort that out. He is still young, he is 24 unlike Vinny koomar who is almost 30 and not going to make a comeback. Ishant can still sort out the issues with his bowling and comeback stronger.
