maniac Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Watched his innings yesterday' date=' noticed two things about him, a leg side player and fattu like raina in facing short deliveries.[/quote'] Umar has the best offside strokeplay in pak :agree:
rkt.india Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Umar Akmal has been downgraded to 7. Should be batting at 3-4.
maniac Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Umar Akmal has been downgraded to 7. Should be batting at 3-4. This. I still think he will do well in lois played on bouncy tracks......does he play big bash
vvvslaxman Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 After Mo yo left Misba is the only batsman with a half decent technique. Everyone else has loads of weaknesses to exploit. Reason why they don't go on to make big scores. Having said i haven't seen much of Asad Shaifiq or Azar Ali.. so i can't comment on their skills. Younis was not exactly a technical wizard. But like Dhoni adapted in ODIs, he made his game work through determination.
TheWall Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Great talent found. Him and Shehzad are the positives of the series so far. Lol at insecurity & jealousy of people here seeing non Indian batsmen scoring at 100+ S/R against top bowling attack away from home. so what is he? Sachin + bradman +gavaskar + viv Richards + waughs + ....?????

In the same vein if we call SL our home, we are the best ODI side to play in this decade.

Haarkarjeetgaye Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 we will see how he goes. He wont last long. amazed to his comparisons with Inzy. As I said earlier, when you are in deep ****, even garbage seems heavenly
ravishingravi Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Not really international standard. But then again
rixxuu Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 looks like an lbw candidate, stays deep in the crease and then plays across the line. and junior akmals techneque is detiorating instead of improving day by day, not good signs. in the current line up only shehzad is capable of playing against quality quicks.
KFC_Zinger Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Frankly I liked him, far better than other Pak batsman
adi B Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 he is a hack!! has an atrocious technique against the short ball and was almost slogging everything that was full..it worked because the pitch was flat and didnt have an iota of movement,in pitches offering bit of bounce and movement,he`ll be a sitting duck.. i think malinga and perera will love to bowl at him

Lol at insecurity & jealousy of people here seeing non Indian batsmen scoring at 100+ S/R against top bowling attack away from home. u can say anything u want (i dont know if u even know what "good technique" is) but guys like asim,U talk must be worried looking at this guy`s technique.. by the way,why do you run away after posting particularly when so many posters present u with fact and whats with you going on calling indians ftbs and ur saga of "home flat track"? where was the CT played? were those flat tracks? pakistan couldn't even score 175+ in any of the matches where india piled on massive runs and the bowlers were the best in the tournie
jf1gp_1 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 look at the state of Pakistan batting line up - guy on debut scores a 50 at 100 SR and he is called boom boom
YoungTalent Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 dont why people like vvvslaxman and others are degrading this guy. He smashed morkel and tsotsobe around, what more do u want from a debutant? Even kohli looked like a hack in his first few games
Texy Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Good young talent. I like his approach. High back lift. The question is how long will he be persisted with before being dumped after few failures? Anyone remember Hammad Azam guy? Where did he go?

He smashed morkel and tsotsobe around, what more do u want from a debutant? Even kohli looked like a hack in his first few games So did Yusuf. HE is a hack. Remember ABishek Nayar smacking Flintoff for 3 sixes in one over. You can tell whether someone is hack by looking at whether they try to time and place the ball or slog the ball.

When Pak new batsman does well against good bowlers away from home he is a hack but heaps of praises are showered for an average trundler who gets a 9 fer at home against a minnow team. LoL at your bias and insecurity.

LoL at your bias and insecurity. I repeatedly tell you Have you watched Yusuf pathan's 105 against SA in SA? That won't make him a great batsman. Yusuf is a hack.
