Dhoni's instincts have never been to take wickets. He wants batsmen to make mistakes by applying pressure. Explains why he is one of the crappiest test captains, more so overseas.

Dhoni is a very limited captain and his weaknesses become even more apparent on overseas tours - the lack of any coherent strategy when in the field and general body language is embarrassing. Has been captain for so long now yet shows no capability to learn or adapt - he is the Ishant Sharma of captains.

Under his captaincy it is very rare to see 5 bowlers bowling completing their quota even if they are doing well. In india it works because raina can fill in overs but Dhobi forgets that he is robbing guys like Bhuvi the chances of bowling at death. These guys if they are any good they will survive or we move on from these trundlers.

Well all you plonkers laughed at me when I bemoaned dhobi did not give shami the new ball and gave him 10 spells in 15 overs. Well here is result, great prepartion dhobi you **** O and meanwhile 90mph bowler has been mentally destroyed by dhobi and told to be trundelr. Long live vinnay

We dont need look that far , both Kohli and Dhobi captained India during tri series and see how much difference is there in captaincy styles Under Kohli mostly five bowlers were used , Dhobi even if bowlers are doing well has to insert part timers. If he cant trust those fast bowlers they should not being playing but this mixing and matching is helping no one.

Dhoni is a very defensive captain especially where wicket taking bowlers are concerned. His handling of fast bowlers is very disappointing. That's why his outside subcontinent test record is so bad. But he is not changing.

Dhoni and selectors management hurting India on away tours I have seen this time and again, it is bad selections, Fletcher and Dhonis defensive mindset that hurts us and contributes to our losses away in Aus, Sa, Eng, again banking on trundlers, defensive selections and captaincy, selectors giving chances to pathetic trundlers at the cost of forming a decent pool and then we are found out as Dhoni, Fletcher, selectors simply dont want to learn, how can you justify playing a trundler ahead of Umesh on a green track, and both Jadeja and Ashwin lol
