CG Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 The confidence Sa Would have taken from drawing from a such a position in the first test is massive. Also our bowlers would be tired and ashiwn has been ineffective but will probably continue. Steyn is bound to come good .so guys we are losing it.
gattaca Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 win or loose doesn't matter as long as we challenge them. Its always a bonus if we win but if we don't challenge them that's a problem.
Trichromatic Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 First test was our best chance. Not often you get Steyn and Morkel both missing from the action. Our 3 men bowling attack won't take us anywhere either. It will be very difficult no matter how much "Ashwin" holds the other end.
Trichromatic Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 win or loose doesn't matter as long as we challenge them. Its always a bonus if we win but if we don't challenge them that's a problem. This is the stuff which minnows talk about their team.
urbestfriend Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 We can draw this match too , if out batting clicks again thanks to Pujara and Kohli..I have no confidence on others, Rahane can do a good job but he is too low down the order. If they go with 3 bowlers again, we are not winning it.
gattaca Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 This is the stuff which minnows talk about their team. 0-8 taught me something to be more conservative obviously you weren't there
Trichromatic Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 If India gives another chance to Ashwin and pitch is not good for spinners then SA will just play cautiously against our pacers and wait for them to get tired. Zak is old to maintain rhythm for long and Ishant doesn't has stamina to maintain intensity. Just 2 sessions seeing them off and they will pile runs even on slightly helpful track.
Trichromatic Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 0-8 taught me something to be more conservative obviously you weren't there Fortunately team doesn't think same way.
urbestfriend Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 0-8 taught me something to be more conservative obviously you weren't there Younger folks are more confident bunch, they can walk the talk. We should not consider ourselves minnows abroad.
gattaca Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Younger folks are more confident bunch' date=' they can walk the talk. We should not consider ourselves minnows abroad.[/quote'] Sure. We are minnow abroad unless we improve our bowling agree ?
vvvslaxman Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 SA is unpredictable. Some times they are good. Some times they are very good :cantstop:
vvvslaxman Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 They will come out with whole different plan. This time they will try to bat us out of the match in the first innings itself.
I6MTW Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 We should bowl first this time. If we reduce them to 200(highly unlikely), then we have a chance. If we Score 300-400(like the first match). Then we'll have a lead of 200. Then if we bowl them out for 250-300(they always do better in the 2nd innings than the first innings), then we'll have to chase a first innings score of 100-150 approx. We should be able to manage that.
Trichromatic Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 They will come out with whole different plan. This time they will try to bat us out of the match in the first innings itself. Expecting big score from Amla. Seeing how our bowling did in 2nd inning, I won't be surprised if they just show more patience.
Number Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 I hope our bowling clicks and Ashwin or Jadeja whoever is playing contributes with the ball. Durban has become slower since last time we played there also it helps spinners so we shouldn't be counting ourselves out so early. Also Rohit and Dhawan need to contribute, can't keep all the hopes on just 2 batsmen.
Zanjeer Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Stupid thread. If anything, our team would be more confident this time around. Steyn wouldn't be confident after the booing and the criticism he got after what he did at the wanderers.
Clarke Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Abe hero, can you stop counting chickens before the eggs hatch, or simply sparing us from your whims ?
MCcricket Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 India will draw or win the game, all backup bowlers for SA are crap, if they make a seamer friendly track it will help our bowlers more, SA record in Durban is poor, they just thought they could blow us away now they are confused and to loose the last game after getting so close, insults to their team in media and at the ground for that has upset their players and r being called chokers again, Shami will wreak havoc in this game, hope Zak is to stiff to play and Umesh can play.
JourneyMan Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 The pressure is on SA, and they aren't the best when it comes to handling pressure. Also, previous matches show that Kingsmeade has been good for spinners (hope Dhoni accounts for this).
jusarrived Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Let me guess . You predicted SA to win the test series 2-0 too ?
