The large crowd wasn't so surprising - from early on it was expected that Modi's nomination in Varanasi would be used as a major show of strength.
bulbul Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Honestly speaking it has not done a great job this time. There have been lots of hate speeches but almost no punishment. In many areas, especially in Maharashtra, reports are coming in of thousands/lacs of names missing from voter lists. Then there is news of rigging of polls and/or faulty EVMs in many places. Maybe they haven't got the necessary resources from the Central Govt or co-operation from State Govts has not been there or some other reason but I have not been very impressed with the EC's performance in these elections so far. I guess EC is now realized these so called hate speeches no longer working in stoking tensions amongst communities.

One honest person (Kejriwal) having personal declared asset of total Rs 2.14 crore has throughout the campaign blamed another person (Modi) having personal asset of Rs. 1.5 crore as corrupt. Is that all? He has been the CM of the richest, most entrepreneurial state of India for the last 12 odd years. And this is all he could make? Highly incompetent person. Couldn't even fill his own pockets properly. I can't believe that all you educated folks want someone so ineffective as your PM. :((

Bet ur ass that Modi is going to use that as a damocles' sword over third front and congis to pass several reform bills and even constitutional amendments. (so claims about UCC and article 370 aren't just hot air).
