express bowling Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Jadeja has become an out and out bowler. He is unable to bat for any length of time. To me, it looks more like his mindset. He should be treated as just a bowler and played at no.8. Not fit for no.7. Only one of Ashwin or Jaddu should play. We need a pacer alrounder at no.7, who can bat decently and is a big hitter.

That's more than enough, considering the runs leaked by ishant and ashwin, to an extent jadeja but u have to also know that NZ is full of big hitters. Still, the other bowlers did their bit, ishant is always inconsistent and has leaked more than needed > putting pressure on indian batsmen > collapse

It is very very unusual that we lose both Kohli and Dhoni at the same time. Lucky guy got couple of wickets. Our tail just didn't wag. will not wag in future as well. So top order has to step up.

As Binny is in the squad, might as well give him a chance as we need a seamer all rounder in these conditions. Two spinners wont be effective here. He is a good hitter lower down the order.

Never mind the fact that he can't bat overseas or bowl overseas but my god hes a good fielder. Who needs runs from that position?
