Tendulkar's biggest problem when he was in supreme touch was conversion. For instance in 1993 Tendulkar was literally toying with England bowling. He could have scored easily some 700 runs in that series. But he didn't convert at all . Highest was 165 where England bowlers were begging for mercy. He could have easily made 250 there. Hope Kohli starts scoring big early in his career.

What I meant was Tendulkar hit peak earlier age , unlike Dravid and Ponting , but Dravid and Ponting at their best had more to show on the scoreboard even though it was for a shorter period in compariosn.

In tests Kohli has a similar problem atm. He has not scored a big hundred, not sure why. In ODI's he is frightening. The way he accelerates is scary but since the Australia home ODI series he has been coming in and scoring at a quick rate and has been looking really dominant.

And he does it with such intense precision it seems inevitable that whatever he does is bound to happen. And when it does, it is still so spectacular that you can only shake your head. Both at the thought that you were expecting it to happen, and that there, right in front of your eyes, it does. Over and over again. If a modern one-day batting machine were to be designed, they would have to take the knowhow from Kohli. In a way, what Kohli has been managing to do over what is now a considerable period is a tightrope marathon. This was a boy who was dropped early, had issues with his lifestyle off the field, still has issues at times with his aggression on the field. But somehow, Kohli has let the fire within burn brighter and brighter and is yet to be even singed by it, let alone burnt. How much effort that must be taking out of him we can only imagine. Genius is by nature temperamental. Only the rarest of rare can temper it to become predictable. Just to drive home the sheer freakishness of it all, he is still only 25.

I don't think Kohli has hit a bad run so far. Initially he was finding his feet so struggles were bound to happen. But, there would be a phase when he wouldn't score in the way as he is now. Like Sachin post 2003 went through such a phase. I am not saying that Kohli wouldn't score. What I am saying is that once the dream run ends, then it would be a bigger challenge. Or maybe it never ends :--D

I don't think that was a bad run pe rs'.It was just an aberration in an otherwise very good rein of form. Bad run or form is when technical glitches creep in or coz of injuries your game starts getting hampered. Even mental blockages can occur in case of long careers.

Ok let's see technical glitches First he struggled against short ball in West Indies...comes back now to becomes one of the best player of short ball in world Then it was deliveries out side off stump and now he was talking about how he has clear intent to either leave or hit the proper ball and no fighting around out side off stump these were the things which made him struggle but he is constantly improving like all great players do obviously he will go out of form but he has shown till now that he is mentally tough Also he has been around for some time now and people have seen him,planned against him and done everything it's not like it's first year in international cricket..
