We wenr down fighting?? You dont in test cricket decide to fight half way through tthe game, you need to fight from ball 1 to last ball. In the 1st innings bowling, we were pathetic, fielding was lethargic and lots of strolling around and being cool. NO FIGHT! I am not saying we need to be a nasty abusive team. But things do happen when pumped up and want to win. When was last time you saw indian player sledging and giving it to oppo bat. Whole team pumped and rounding and bullying a bat? This is dhobis team, subservient yes man to the all powerful skipper and this translates in to subservient approach on field.

Rohit averages 60 in test cricket just to clarify and batted suoperbly in 1st innings The other was fighter and a class act. A fella well established before dhobi came and too over and who took over 400 test wickets. Backing proven rubbish like Ishant, Vinnay etc is simply ridiculous and they have never been godd and nevr will be. Backing by srini a rubbish test player and skipper like dhoni is also insane

Well even Raina averaged well in fewer test matches initially even Dhawan. I'm not saying drop Nohit but his average will come down as well.

all these are past pronlems and should have been rectified,swlip catching has been atrotious for a while and they still havent been rectified but now they are dropping sitters.why do we continue to play Zak,he can barely bowl 130k.is he really better than pandey at this point in his career?.its the small things but we continue to hampered by bad decisions even before the game.

I'm surprised that he got so many wickets... I feel that Dhobi and the slip fielders are standing way behind fir the pace our bowlers bowl. Dhobi has this annoying tendency to try catch the ball at knee height. Maybe that's one if the reasons he diesn'r likes too many 140k+ bowlers in the team... Dhobi loves to slow down things... Sakshi and Ishu must be used to it now...,

Even never found a replacement for Ganguly. let alone the other three in the MO. So, this is a learning team. Everybody lost their wicket due to good bowling or umpire. Good effort. I was expecting to lose by 100 runs and above. This was out of order.

Writing was on the wall when Kohli got out. One great partnership between Kohli and Dhawan made it an exciting game otherwise India was always playing catch-up cricket. The two dunces will play the same XI in the next game.

Not anymore IMO. BMac has come of age, Kane Williamson is awesome, Ross Taylor is finally back in form and is showing the world what he is capable of. With the ball, IMO they have one of the best prospective fast bowling units in the world. Wagner is a gun, Southee has really matured and has become so reliable for his captain, and Boult is very effective as well. Add in a game changing, almost symonds-esque allrounder in Anderson and reserve fast bowlers like Milne and you have a very good team. Only holes are in opening batting (IDK why Guptill isnt in there?) and the spin department. Sodhi is pretty promising but needs some time. I would just stick with Nathan McCullum or just go ahead with 4 seamers.

This is such a young side you have no choice to except that they are going to be inconsistent for a while...we are very dependent on Pujara and Virat atm . I can see this side winning test matches from second half of England tour.
