Muloghonto Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I wouldn't blame them. Infact, I'd commend them. If they believe islam is the only path for redemption, then it makes them utterly rational, humane and sincere. It's the obfuscators who scream "all religions are the same" who should bother the rest of us. It is completely insincere, dishonest and basically dadagiri to enforce a social standard based on religion because religion is a beleif, not a proven fact. To impose penalties based on a religious set of rules is basically enforcing an unproven and unsubstantiated doctrine, ie, "i want it this way coz I say so". So not fair Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2
Muloghonto Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Muslims rather than Islam. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2 No, islam. Muslims r the way they are due to their religion. Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2
Muloghonto Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Indians(minus Pak and Bangladesh) have actually retained their religion (identity, way of life etc) as opposed to iran, iraq which were converted to islam from Zoroastrianism in a few decades. (ofcourse , for modern world, word 'religion' itself has become BS.) Iran wasnt converted in a few decades, even during the rule of harun al rashid, in 800 ce, iran had a non muslim majority. Iran fully islamacized under the seljuks Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2
Muloghonto Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Most of people do associate culture with religion. Please tell me when you meet sardar don't you assume that he is Punjabi.Though being Sardar is just an aspect of Sikhism and anybody can be sikh Religion is part of culture, its not the only thing that defines culture. Folktales, food, dress, customs are just as integral to defining culture Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2
hhunaeh Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 @randomguy and Yoda-esque Interesting article in today's toi that's related to what you guys are discussing. The vicious schism between Sunni and Shia has been poisoning Islam for 1,400 years - and it's getting worse
maniac Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Hard to beleive a nation that was found on a religious ideology and has gone to the dogs for the same reason is a beacon of upholding secularism as some statistical efforts seem to suggest lol.

Its Islamic viewpoint. They consider subjecting non muslims to Islamic laws and making them party xtra tax, so long as they had the right to build their religious venues is hallmark of liberalism... Ie, basic courtesies seen mandatory by any semi civilized societies are xamples of super liberalism in Islam. Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2

Tailender Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 +1, if living in a intolerant society like Pakistan with no voice just because you believed in the wrong imaginary thing. If it is straight forward as just change belief to the acceptable imaginary friend, then do it. No need to follow the imaginary rules too. Silly Pakistani Hindus, always moaning about the injustice to them because they are Hindus, you live in Pakistan!!, what do you expect! this is such a stupid attitude. we should strive towards freedom of religion in a secular society... giving into pressure is a temporary solution at best

Debutant Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 If my choice of religion put my and my family's life in danger then I would convert, even if I was a believer. I have no interest in being a muslim but if not being one hurt my chances of a decent life everyday then its more sensible to convert. I, in no way support these forced conversions btw +1, if living in a intolerant society like Pakistan with no voice just because you believed in the wrong imaginary thing. In my opinion, religion is the worst thing happened to mankind. Utter waste of time and resource.

gattaca Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 to many Atheists bros are here on ICF .... :nervous: any Hindu/Sikh/Christian/Jew/Parsi/Buddhist bros here ? .... :sniffle: See below quote from chanakya. A man who has mercy and compassion for all creatures is religious for sure. He does not require any religious symbol or sign to prove his religiousness.
KeyboardWarrior Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 ^ I was just kidding bro ... :dontknow:

Or perhaps you are too thick to understand the implications and scope of the "statistical efforts"? All the "statistical efforts" show is that there has not been a dramatic demographic shift in the minority population of West Pakistan, as is sometimes suggested. There are hazaar other ways minorities can feel persecution and the "statistical efforts" make no effort to address those for you to come to the conclusion that the "statistical efforts" are suggesting Pakistan is a "beacon of upholding secularism".
ravishingravi Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 But is this an issue just because they happen to be Hindus ? Shias are getting blown up on a daily basis like its no one's business. Ahmedis have been discarded by mainstream. Christians get forcibly converted. Not sure why we should be thekedaar for hindus exclusively.
Desi Cartman Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Yahan hindu being forced to convert Hans raj Hans reported falsely for converting Viru's good starts are not being converted...
