CrazyCric Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Do you guys think you can win against Afgans in the dead rubber?
I6MTW Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 If India win huge with a bonus point, and pakistan loses huge to bangladesh. Then India will qualify.
CrazyCric Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 If India win huge with a bonus point, and pakistan loses huge to bangladesh. Then India will qualify. Also SL need to loose against BAN to make a three way tie between BAN,IND,PAK . If only PAK, IND end up with equal points then PAK will go through on head to head record. 1.The team with the most number of wins 2.If still equal, the team with the most number of wins over the other team(s) who are equal on points and have the same number of wins 3.If still equal, the team with the highest number of bonus points 4.If still equal, the team with the highest net run rate
I6MTW Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Highly unlikey that Bang will win against even one of those teams, let alone 2. Plus India has a good chance to lost to AFG.
SLICKR392 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Does RR really matter? Pak will get through since they beat us.
Asim Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Does RR really matter? Pak will get through since they beat us. RR matters when 3 teams end with equal Pts & equal victories among each other...
SLICKR392 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 RR matters when 3 teams end with equal Pts & equal victories among each other... 3 teams? That's not the case here. So the table has been set for Pak-SL final.
Asim Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 3 teams? That's not the case here. So the table has been set for Pak-SL final. BD beats Pak & SL, one of them with BonusP, Ind beats Afghan with BonusP BD, Pak, Ind all ends with 9 points & equal wins among each other (BD beats Pak, Pak beats Ind, Ind beats BD) so the team with most NRR will play with SL, simple.
GautiMaan Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 3 teams? That's not the case here. So the table has been set for Pak-SL final. In the event of teams finishing on equal points, the right to play in the final match or series will be determined as follows: The team with the most number of wins If still equal, the team with the most number of wins over the other team(s) who are equal on points and have the same number of wins If still equal, the team with the highest number of bonus points If still equal, the team with the highest net run rate I think Asim's right.
GautiMaan Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 People still talking about qualifying? LOL! Its a bit like how people hoped Bermuda would beat Bangladesh in 2007 WC
Yoda-esque Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Its a bit like how people hoped Bermuda would beat Bangladesh in 2007 WC :hysterical:
putrevus Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 They do not deserve to be in finals period .It ok it is not the end of world. When below average side like Pakistan can have hope why not a good side like India.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 unless Srini Mama calls for a meeting with SLCB PCB and BCB... I am hoping Afghanistan screws us with a bonus point. that would be so great for a rising cricketing nation
SLICKR392 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 BD beats Pak & SL, one of them with BonusP, Ind beats Afghan with BonusP BD, Pak, Ind all ends with 9 points & equal wins among each other (BD beats Pak, Pak beats Ind, Ind beats BD) so the team with most NRR will play with SL, simple. Lol then! :((
Marut Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 India has no guarantee of win against Afghan who have been troubling all other teams so far. Even if they beat Afghan India don't deserve to be in the final, having lost to the big two. Chalo, jaane do - we will look forward for the next tournament.
Switchblade Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Don't deserve to qualify to be honest batting has been poor, bowling initially has been poor and dropping catches or missed stumpings at crucial junctures of the game :headshake:
