Yoda-esque Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 AGree you mean the brain dead skipper who becomes wooden when the ball starts swinging :phehehe: No I meant the walking wicket at number 4
Yoda-esque Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Dhoni did decent against NZ. But he can never play a McCullum like innings. I think that's the difference McCullum scored a double century on his home turf ,so did Dhoni against Aussies
maniac Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Dhoni did decent against NZ. But he can never play a McCullum like innings. I think that's the difference Dhoni has been useless for a while.....at the end of the day he will be remembered as a captain who was there at the right place at the right time who played 1 good innings in a WC final period. Rest of his career will be remembered for all the Lankan and minnow bashing and the humiliating overseas losses. The great ODI player doesn't even have an overseas ODI 100 leave alone Tests. Also ps-the big hitting, milk drinking Jharkand legend doesn't even have a T20 50 iirc :giggle:

Don't worry ,AP will produce a few good players over the next 100 years perhaps

Don't worry ,AP will produce a few good players over the next 100 years perhaps :secret: Neither Rohit or Ishant play for A.P Team India first :isalute: DOn't know about you.....12-1 against big teams has taken a toll ......and every tom dick and harry has been blamed for it except you know who.
Yoda-esque Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Chalo atleast Gangu will be happy with his new found following here
CG Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Dhoni did decent against NZ. But he can never play a McCullum like innings. I think that's the difference Dhoni averages 28 in last 12 months in test
Temujin Khaghan Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 5 years after dhoni's retirement and when we start losing under Kohli/Pujara... then all of a sudden Dhoni will become God for Indian media and the greatest Indian captain at ICF...
diga Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 5 years after dhoni's retirement and when we start losing under Kohli/Pujara... then all of a sudden Dhoni will become God for Indian media and the greatest Indian captain at ICF... never .. if he doesnt win outside the subcontinent
putrevus Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Dhobi's biggest legacy is he has pushed Indian team back into 1990s with much better team.
adi B Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Fickle fans lose objectivity when criticizing captains... I still remember the frustration of losing almost all finals under Ganguly. Today these fans call these series/cups win meaningless. :giggle: If only.. they could relive those heart-breaking moments again... For all his aggressiveness, Ganguly just had Natwest to show. MS has 3 ICC tournaments and numerous multination cups ponting has won literally everything as a captain ,still most experts including many here in icf put ponting behind waugh, border, taylor as great captains.so ur logic of 'dhoni won more tournaments so he is way' better is terribly flawed.. i know we lost some important finals under him and i myself criticized him a lot back in those days but seeing how we are losing almost everything abroad,i now value our great run in wc 2003 with a relatively young side (especially when no one gave us a chance) and treasure those great test wins in aus,wi,eng
adi B Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Dude.. that underlines the fact Ganguly was much poorer nothing more. Dhoni is poor in lot of areas. Ganguly was poorer. That is why i laugh when you guys put him on pedestal. i am sorry but i haven't seen worst captain than msd in tests especially away matches..he is not that good in odis as well but in big tournies his magic somehow works,he is damn good in that sense
King Tendulkar Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Love dada. Indias greatest skipper Turned a bunch of pussies in to winners often abroad. Made a placid team in to a much more confronational in your face unit. Backed good talent. Did what he could for india to win, not silly other agendas. Need a skipper like dada now. Aggressive, conformational, WHO WANTS INDIA TO WIN! Loved how dada wound s Waugh up on purpose by keeping him waiting at toss and turning up all scruffy. Just to wind oppo up Him and Rantunga did similar roles for both nations
King Tendulkar Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Dhobi's biggest legacy is he has pushed Indian team back into 1990s with much better team. This Sad thing is we have good players
King Tendulkar Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Chalo atleast Gangu will be happy with his new found following here Not new found. Loved his captaincy by and large. Great leader who changed mentality of pussy team. Rightly was discarded at right time. As everyone has shelf period. Shame dhoni fantaics don't get that and want him to have life cpataincy

putrevus Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Dhobi and Ganguly were both wimps when it came to test cricket, Ganguly showed false bravdo against trundlers. Ganguly atleast did okay under other captains overseas but dhobi has been horrible under everyone. Ganguly at least wanted to do well overseas where as dhobi it seems has given up and he does not care anymore.

We just hype Ganguly to the hilt because Dhoni has hit the nadir. India was roundly thrashed. in 8 tests. India did not cross 300 even once in 8 tests. If that was what Ganguly going to have from his batsmen he would have produced similar results as well.
