StriKe Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Chennai will not host any of the four scheduled games during the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League, due to a dispute with the municipal authorities over the use of three stands at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The alternate venue will be finalised by the IPL governing council on Saturday evening. "There will be no IPL matches in Chennai this year, even the playoffs," Kasi Viswanathan, TNCA secretary, told ESPNcricinfo. The decision has been communicated to the IPL authorities and IPL chairman Ranjib Biswal confirmed Saturday's governing council will zero in on the alternate venues. The Jharkhand State Cricket Association stadium in Ranchi, which is hosting two of the Super Kings' four home games this year, has emerged as the front-runner to host the remaining two games as well. The two playoff matches, first qualifier and the eliminator, are likely to move to Bangalore and Mumbai. The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association's inability to host matches is due to the prolonged deadlock with the municipal corporation over the legality of the construction of three new stands and a gymnasium at the MA Chidambaram stadium. After the Supreme Court had ordered both the parties to reach an amicable settlement with regard to staging IPL matches, the TNCA authorities informed the IPL authorities late on Friday of their inability to stage the matches.

Old guy Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 KXIP will win IPL if there is no playoff between CSK vs KXIP in Chennai :whine: Neutral is better for play offs IMO
Old guy Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Well I know how it feels it's unfair ...Mumbai and Bangalore are getting so many games at home :((
StriKe Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Neutral is better for play offs IMO Johnson vs CSK in Mumbai - CSK - 80ao
Old guy Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Johnson vs CSK in Mumbai - CSK - 80ao Thats why I am saying this neutral is better Look at both kxip games vs csk to me matches were between equals with no advantage Imagine it in mohali and Johnson would have bullied csk and in chennai in earlier part of tournament csk would have won easily
