Midfielder Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 BCCI always use the dirty politics excuse in dealing with PCB cricketing matters. Pakistan should do the same ask PM Sharif to only allow Indian MFN status if they play Pak regularly. Right now Indian business leaders are desperately trying to get MFN status so Pak should use this leverage. Personally speaking I dont want MNF. I would prefer the damn border to be closed also.

Midfielder Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I don't get why PCB is asking for this. If Indians don't want it don't ask for it. agreed
undisputed chap Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 PCB should be bending over backwards to get a series vs ind.Because when Modi comes to power after 2014 general elections they wont be getting squat.
Debutant Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 PCB is begging to play cricket with India anywhere, even in India. But the pakis think India have to reciprocate and somehow owe them some series. How dumb can you pakis be. BCCI never asked PCB to play but PCB wants to play anywhere including India.

Muloghonto Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Dear Cheapos ... once again I must reiterate that Pakistan has toured your nation two times in succession without a return tour. Both your excuses of 26/11 and not wanting to play in the UAE are no longer valid. Please grow a pair and fulfill your obligations. Dear Terrorist spawners, Kindly solve your terrorist problem first before trying to get a tour from your mutually declared enemy nation. Ever since 26/11 AND the shooting incident at SL players, nobody in the cricket world has toured Pakistan. Get low targeted risk nations like WI or NZ or BD to tour first, get anyone to tour first before you ask a high risk target (Indian team) to be the first to tour your sorry excuse of a nation after a nearly deadly terrorist attack on a sporting team. To ask otherwise, is to expose a callous disregard for foreign player safety as well as a basic failure in simple logic pertaining to testing your security apparatus. Regarding your tour to India, sorry, we don't have time. You see, our goal is to eventually have a 'high season' of 12-13 tests one year, comprising of 3 series ( Two fivers- with ENG and AUS and a 2-3 'filler series' with another team) and a 'low season' of 7-9 tests the other years ( comprising of 3 two/3 test series vs 3 oppositions), on a two year cycle. This means, we have the necessity of involving 4 teams, apart from ENG and AUS to our schedule. The rest can go frigg themselves. Of the four teams we 'want', SL is a lock (our traditional allies and easy tour schedulings), RSA is a lock(they are too good to ignore and their compliance is key to controlling cricket in Africa) and NZ also just locked up their status with us ( the matchup of inverse skills in NZ-India conditions for both teams, along with easy viewership options in the target audience (India- where they watch matches through daytime and NZ, where they get to watch it in the lucrative evening/night hours) makes them a good option. Plus they are a convinient shceduling 'package tour' with Australia when we go there. This leaves, one spot open for West Indies, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Pakis to compete for. Zimbos are practically out of the picture but we owe them more than we owe you guys. And crappy for you guys, BD just signed a touring agreement with us, which involves tests in 2015, 2017 and 2019. So you guys are at best, #2 pecking order for the last remaining 'chosen team' spot to gain entry to India's schedule plan. Or, the first loser in the list. Whichever way you wanna look at it. So whine all you want, but the fact is, we are not going to accomodate you within our big picture, atleast for the next little while. If you guys were super-compliant, we may give you one short series to visit us in the next 5-6 years but don't expect more. Just keep rubbing that shiny overall test record (what is it ? 11-6/11-7 in your favor ?) and keep remembering the good old days and thanking your allah that we didn't go about correcting that record in the last 5 years. Regards, An Indian who says it like it is.

So do not pay attention to that.
Muloghonto Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 And millions agree with you. The only correction to your post is that their record is with home cooked umpiring and seam lifting ball tampering. So do not pay attention to that. I know and I don't. Though i will admit that from early 80s to late 90s, Pakistan was a better team. They will whine that we didn't tour them much in the 90s. True, but we didn't just target/run away from them, India wasn't keen on playing much test cricket till 96/97 period and we played them a series in those 4 years. Could've played more but we opted for extended 'Sahara cups' in Canada over test tours. But we havn't played the Pakis since it became a 2-man batting unit ( Younis-Misbah) and a one and half-man bowling unit (Ajmal-Junaid), that its been since Inzy-Yousuf retirements (and lack of replacements) and the bans on Asif & whatzizname. And, thanks to us tooling them over their silly little venture in 1965, they managed to avoid us for an entire generation, when Indian team was stronger than the Pakis.

Haarkarjeetgaye Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I don't get why PCB is asking for this. If Indians don't want it don't ask for it. absolutely. whether India wants it or not. why ask?
sachin34357 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Pakistan and India can play bilateral series after IPL: Najam Sethi Karachi: The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi is confident that Pakistan and India can play a short bilateral series after the Indian Premier League (IPL) this summer. "With India now deciding to host IPL matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) it is a good sign for us as we can also play India at these venues if they don't want to tour Pakistan," Sethi told Pakistani reporters in Dhaka on Sunday. Sethi is in Dhaka to not only watch the World T20 matches but also meet with other board officials including from India. Pakistan is not scheduled to play any international cricket after the World T20 Cup until October this year and Sethi said there were windows available for a series with India. The PCB chief also disclosed that due to the refusal of teams to play in Pakistan since 2009, the PCB had suffered the loss of annual earnings of around USD 10 million and the board was looking at ways to recoup at shortfall which was badly hurting the board's financial health. "We are working fast track on having the Super League T20 soon even if we have to organize it in the UAE because this is one way of improving our financial health," Sethi added. The PCB had also planned to hold the Pakistan Premier League in 2013 and had even signed up some players but had to call off the event due to refusal of boards to permit their players to play in Pakistan. "Given the current situation it looks like we will have to hold the Super League in the UAE and we would like to have the semi- finals and final at Lahore," Sethi said. The PCB chief said that talks were also being held with other boards to not only organize some tours but also to update them on players required for the Super League. No Test team has visited Pakistan since March, 2009 when militants attacked the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in which atleast six Pakistani policemen and a van driver were killed and some of the visiting players wounded. http://ibnlive.in.com/news/cricketnext/pakistan-and-india-can-play-bilateral-series-after-ipl-sethi/459825-78.html
jf1gp_1 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Thanks but dont want to see a series of boring one sided games where we walk all over helpless pakis :--D
someone Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Please No. These Pakistan cricket certainly don't deserve any support from India
Asim Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Ah com'on... Noooo, palleezz... Im sorry but we dont want to play Cricket bs with India untill we dont resolve 697 other critical issues way more important than cricket... like political understanding (though I dont know what that cud be), peace talks (there must be something unstable going on somewhere), release of Kashmiri students, promotion to next class without exams in-case they already released, Congress should win next elections, NFC or that MFC whatever status (whichever country supposed to give), something better with ind-o-Pak Bus routes, Tomatoes coming from india are not fresh anymore... etc etc... Proud to be a Pakistani, Pakistan first...
Iconoclast Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Six years since last test series ... that's quite a shame.

undisputed chap Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Better make the players play domestic cricket or county instead of another meaningless b/ l series.
