vvvslaxman Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-premier-league-2014/content/current/story/748959.html Imagine him captaining SRH lol steyn would haven called irresponsible. Baz was not irresponsible. Just caught frozen after that run out. But he is probably the most responsible T20 batsman ever at the international level. Didn't,t yuvi do far worse in world t20. Where was Tony then? How many times Chris gayle doing the same even in IPL. PKXI owned them in three battathons in a row. Also spare a thought for ask hard who totally out bowled two international spinners of CSK.
The Realist Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Erm isn't Dhoni nearly 35?.. Apart from hussey is the oldest in CSK and is by a distance the oldest in the India squad. Looks like the old man is losing his marbles.

Straight Drive Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I don't get his post match comments nowadays. He makes a mockery of CSK bowling saying that he expects them to give 200+ runs. Then he blames senior international batsmen as well in front of everyone. Should get more mature and accept that others are after all cricketers and can have bad days on field. Criticize them at times but do it in team meetings etc and make it constructive. Criticizing in public will serve him no good.

Yuvraj played one of the shi**iest innings in t20 international history . Tony had nothing to say about it. Here he is fuming
Straight Drive Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Yuvraj played one of the shi**iest innings in t20 international history . Tony had nothing to say about it. Here he is fuming Yes, he made no issue of the Yuvi's dreadful batting innings in T20 cup and i am fine with it as long as he had a discussion with Yuvi after the match. If every players starts to blame each other in public when some flop, it will lead to atleast 4 scape goats every match. Not the way to go. Having said that, I don't mind a captain constructively criticizing his players at times but it has to be in private team meetings, not in post match interviews or press conferences. Moreover it has to be a constructive criticism rather than making mockery of his resources. That's not the way to get the team together. What if players start to pin point Dhoni in the IPL matches when he fails tom score above 10 runs or misses a stumping or drops a catch. Dhoni should grow up and accept even the best of cricketers get into bad form in some matches.
putrevus Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 this guy blames everyone but himself, like a coward he sent Jadeja ahead of himself , when chase was perfectly set up by raina

He set aggressive throughout the series. Came toe the party when his team was staring defeat.
mancalledsting Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Dhoni's post match interview proves what a nasty piece of work he really is Excerpts after yesterday's loss to KXIP: "In the end KXIP scored 25 runs more than what we would have EASILY chased" "If Dwayne Bravo was playing in a game like this" bitter man and sore loser giving excuses....can't take a phainty with dignity Shastri: "Did you expect a 3rd time in a row, KXIP getting over 200" Dhoni: "Well (in his chewtiya voice) ....the way they started definitely because I had belief in my bowlers that they'll let them score more than 200 runs" "In the middle overs, there was some very irresponsible cricket by some of the most experienced international cricketers What a joker...making derogatory and humiliating public criticisms about his team mates' performance. Was not sending in Jadeja instead of yourself irresponsible cricket? Was going at a strike rate near 100 for most of your innings in a chase of 226 a vintage batting display? Are you such a great batsmen with a high average in all formats of the game across most countries that you can afford to make arrogant criticisms......have you forgot how your displays in tests in South Africa, Australia and NZ are laughable? You made a public mockery out of bowlers like Ashwin, Jadeja and Nehra- people who have collectively contributed to World Cup, Champions Trophy and T20WC wins and finals for India- for which you mostly get the credit despite your piss poor captaincy. You also disrespected your batting colleagues who were mainly responsible for getting you this far whilst you fannied about in the middle order.

Sooda Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Hilfenhaus should have played a lot more, and should have played vs KPXI. Also why Faf was sent to open is beyond me
