maniac Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Play Saha and let Dhoni be the 5th bowler batting at No 10....Will take that scenario over playing Binny
nevada Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Dont think kaptain cool will be losing his sleep about this micky mouse series. :finger: +1. Cook is under lot of pressure but Dhoni knows he is untouchable till the 2015 WC no matter what the result.

vvvslaxman Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Dhoni will come out with gems like " I expected our team to concede 500 runs. " "we missed a genuine fast bowler in our line up"
singhprakash72 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Dhoni will come out with gems like " I expected our team to concede 500 runs. " "we missed a genuine fast bowler in our line up" OR it is normal for an out of form batsman to score triple century against us OR getting 20 wkts in overseas test is my long term goal which I hope to achieve by next 10 yrs.
rkt.india Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 The day when Dhoni does something like that in away test series, i would be the first to appreciate him. In fact i would appreciate Dhoni even if he draws an away test series, lest win it. . Dhoni did it in 2010 in SA, won test series in NZ and WI.

Straight Drive Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Dhoni did it in 2010 in SA' date=' won test series in NZ and WI.[/quote'] Fair enough. But we have to look 3.5 years back for an overseas win. How good does it sounds for a major test playing nation.

It is BCCI's mistake that he is still captain. Every captain has a shelf life. You need new ideas, new belief after sometime with a new captain. Look at how many captains have SL changed since Dhoni became captain in 2007-08. He has nothing new to offer now as a captain. I do not think he even believes we can win overseas. If fast bowlers averaging in 50s and 70s can win SL, our fast bowlers are certainly better.

Can't expect every flopping test captain to take moral responsibility and play as normal player. I agree, majorly it's the selectors and administrators job to drop Dhoni. But i guess some selector tried dropping Dhoni from test captaincy, but it was the selector himself who got dropped. It's set a very bad precedent imo.
Iconoclast Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Dhoni at least still commands some respect from his own team .... Cook is an all round flop both on the field an in the the locker room ... I don't think his players respect him or his authority.

I don't think his players respect him or his authority. Dhoni does not command respect from them. They fear him, that's a different thing. They fear him because of his immense power in indian cricket with his godfather srini. Even selectors poo their pants with dhoni as any selector questions him they themselves get dropped not the useless dhobi

CSK Fan Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Which Indian player told you this? Guess the ones who run to join Rhiti on the first chance
vamos_rafa Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Guess the ones who run to join Rhiti on the first chance It's the personal choice of the players to join any player management firm. Look, I am not defending Dhoni here. His test captaincy and team selections have been atrocious, and I don't see him improving but the way KT wrote it is as he has had drinks with all the players and knows them personally.
