Adamant
No one cares about pace, Umran is promising, needs to toil in domestics and play in IPL a bit more. Special attention should be given to him, but as of now let's just not ruin him like Pak did with Naseem Shah. Link to comment

He is definitely promising and a rare commodity in Indian cricket But needs some time, we don't realize that. He won't cut it in international cricket with just pace, he has already gotten slower. Hope he recovers from this slump quickly, better to use his more against weaker sides for now. express bowling 1 Link to comment

The above mentioned names are polar opposite to the nature with which cricket is being played today How can they ask bowlers to be aggressive with their lines and use bouncers to unsettle batsmen In batting ,they are forced to play aggressively as it is so obvious you should go for runs from the beginning Bowling, they seem again not to be having any clue about Edited July 10, 2022 by Suhaan express bowling 1 Link to comment

Now it seems it was Chappell behind all. Vk1, express bowling and Lord 1 2 Link to comment

Probably has to do with his run-up and rhythm. express bowling 1 Link to comment

Lone Wolf
I suspect Umran will be dropped after this outing... But he did show a bit of improvement & his lines were decent for most parts. He needs to trust his yorker more & length balls... Short ball isn't working for him & batters are using his pace. Hopefully gets picked for Zim ODIs at least. More he plays better he will get. Needs a better bowling coach as well. Unlucky for him that Bharat Arun is not there. Link to comment
express bowling
From the point of view of the T20 World Cup, India should have tried Mohsin Khan. He is the kind of tall, hit the deck pacer that may work in Australia. Plus he is an all phase bowler and picks wickets too. Avesh is of a similar kind but loses steam a bit too easily. Even today, with every passing over, he was losing a bit of zip off the deck. Mosher and ABDfan 1 1 Link to comment
Nikhil_cric
Today was the sorta pitch you had to bowl "ugly" as a seamer and restrict the flow of runs. Slower balls, cutters into the surface were more effective. Gleeson, Jordan and Toppley are great at that. Even during India innings, as the tweet shows, pace off was more effective. Umran's slightly wayward pace-on stuff got smashed. ABDfan 1 Link to comment

Short of length balls are his weakness. He should bowl full most of the times as his lines are improving. Trust his yorkers more like Jordan did. Link to comment
