i feel the difference between a champion bowler like Shami and a Saini is that bowlers like Shami are quick in finding the lengths, the tactics against a batsman. Someone like Saini and Siraj spend half the day understanding the pitch and where to land the ball.

In addition, both these bowlers are mechanical. They repeat what they have done throughout their life. Theres no readiness for application and modification.

People like Saini can only bowl well when they are thoroughly guided, handheld.

The bowling coach either needs to spend hours with Saini and give  a plan or encourage to experiment and think.

That's highly simplistic way to look at things. Shami is playing test cricket since 2013. You can't expected bowlers who are yet to play a test to bowl like veteran test bowler. This is the reason fast bowlers are given early debuts so that by their peak age, they can also be at the peak of their bowling prowess.

Thats a highly simplistic way to look at things and revert to my post. So much so that it doesnt warrant a reply.  Perhaps one needs to look more into the careers of successful bowlers.

But at least in A matches the bowler should be showing qualities that he is ready for tests -, If he cannot show that in A games and bowls mostly filth ,on what basis he should be included in Tests.?

What is the lack of intensity you are referring to. Is it lack of pace or lack of effort by bending back to bowl tough to negotiate bouncers or the run up aspects or something else.

He was not getting good number of wickets in IPL and same happened in LOI series in Aus.

In this practice match, he was used as 3rd change and hence he could pick lower middle order wickets only. But it was good to see him pick a 3 fer in innings finally after quite a lot of matches across formats.

When a fast bowler is bowling with intensity then he is focused and has a clear plan about what he wants to do.

And he runs in with purpose and executes his plans while bowling with full effort and pace. He targets a spot and hits the deck really hard.

Saini was bowling random balls today without any plan ... not hitting the deck hard enough until the 3rd session ... he wasn't bowling at full pace either until the 3rd session ... bowled too many half volleys and short and wide balls.

Bumrah's 3rd spell of 3 overs is the most hostile spell of fast bowling we have seen on this Australian tour so far from either side.

Bowled 15 or 16 quick accurate sizzling bouncers ... 5 or 6 among them were very nasty balls which rose very steeply.

2 easy catches lobbed up  ... somehow there was no one to take them. I don't know why a short leg wasn't there.

Both batsmen looked afraid.

Mitch Starc had said some great things about his NSW bowling coach Andre Adams in cricinfo monthly interview ( yes that guy who bowled Kumble with that parabolic ball )..

If not as a national team bowling coach, he should definitely be considered for India A.

Some of that can be categorised as lack of planning. Lack of intensity and execution skills are also problem areas as you mentioned in recent performances.
