Hahah yeah I remember this too.. they used to ask Umran to bowl short exclusively and kept mid on mid off up.

Umran being shorter and skiddier couldn't generate bounce and used to get thrashed.

Everytime he bowed full and straight he looked a different bowler.

When thesw clueless freeloader coaches will be thrashed too

Ashok 1st over .... bowls 4 channel balls / off stump balls, 1 rising short ball and 1 attempted yorker.

Good pace.

Got some away movement from LHB.

Bowled in good areas. No bad ball or erratic ball.

But still concedes 2 boundaries.

Some one send ashok and gurnoor to England. Lya chutiya selectors hai

India has selected it's most fiery pace attack ever for Eng 26 ODIs.

....  5 specialist pacers

....  4 of them 140 k+ and sometimes 145 k+.

....  4 of them very tall .. 6'5", 6'3", 6'3", 6'2".

....  And all of them skilful

Liking the direction that Gambhir, Gill, Morkel and Agarkar are taking.

Gurnoor has been selected for ODIs in England.

Ashok needs a few more games under his belt to get his length right.

Ashok needs to listen to his conscience rather than the A side coaches, those coaches have negative IQ when it comes to playing with them.

His main focus should be picking up wickets, and he should forget about being economical. Picking up wickets is an art.Going for runs with only zero or one scalps in the wicket column will push him down the pecking order.

Bowling straight at the stumps or targeting the fourth and fifth stump line while pitching the ball further up is the perfect approach for him

Kushgrah is not IPl ready he played 1-2 games in IPl was unable to hit the ball..

As for gurnoor and Ashok -- They had Rabada and Pradish filling the same role with more exp. Gt is not an ideal IPL/t20 side they have to make such selections because they rely on 3 batters and only buttler is proper t20 batter.

Are you Nehra himself? Or are you part of GT management? You keep defending their nonsense methods, even in the IPL threads!

Kushagra was the best middle order bat in SMAT 2026 yet GT played him as a opener which is not his natural position. In no way are the likes of Sundar and Sindhu better batsmen than him that deserved to play at #4!

Never defended any side, and have posted this multiple times that GT does not have batting , they only got 1 true t20 batter who is also declining. They donot have many batting options in their entire squad. The team is formulate to show Gill is the best player in the side if not the best atleast best Ind player.

Gill comes from pjb and Nehra from Del these 2 are the teams where you find IPl ready batters but they didnt get any batter just because any proper t20 batter can overshadow Gill.

There are only 3/4 domestic sides where you can find ipl ready batters in their 1st season -- Del, Pjb, Mp, Up(may be), rest all takes time.

As for Kushgtah -- yes he is not ipl ready yet, smat is a good tournament but still no where near IPL standards, many domestic players struggle here and he is not the 1st one.

He was the 3rd highest run-getter in smat and 2nd was not even picked for IPL. Think rahane was 5th.

Kushagrah is good Odi prospect right now and should be develop a proper mo batter with good technique and a wk can be v.good. But still he does not have the power game.

Just check the GT squad if there are many proper t20 batting options or not, the team is in a tactical decision making loop after their 3rd batter on the roster, they do not have fire-power and have to use their players carefully, think Sindhu played at #3 for them. If you look at the entire squad they have it will make sense why they are making such changes and why they are picking certain players.
