Seriously, that’s extremely dumb. Also, there’s just no creativity/planning in their fields for him. They just have that fine leg/ third man with no protection elsewhere. That limits him from bowling Yorkers too.

In the case of Akhtar and lee both hit 158-160 kph in that 2002, 2003 season. Lee in Newzealand, southafrica Akhtar in Pak, Sharjah.

The worldcup was no outlier for them.

Exactly my point...  What the hell he is supposed to bowl with that field sets??  Commies should heavily criticize this. 

Umran also needs to ensure he gets to bowl what he wants & demand adequate field sets.

Yes, 2003 ODI WC did have inflated speeds atleast by 4-5 kmph.
That delivery to Nick Knight, was lot slower than the deliveries which Shaun Tait hurled against Imran Farhat.
Nehra bowled 149 kph, Zaheer 148 and Srinath 143...in reality it should be in 139-144 range.

But the medium pacers were clocked at their regular speeds, Donald was down on pace and it was evident, unless it went a bit dodgy when balls over 145kph were delivered, there was one game in 2007 against wi at home all three Zak, agarkar, sreesanth were hitting 140kph plus, something was dodgy then, Dwayne Smith was bowling 135kph

He is quick but I very positive steyn was quicker which makes me think Donald was a fast medium rather than outright fast.

Lee, Akhtar were certainly had quicker peaks speeds than anyone currently.
