Watch out for young Bangla quick Nahid Rana tomorrow.  He is set to play.

Might be fastest pacer on show from both sides @Nikhil_cric

Interesting. Is he the one who played against SL? He was pretty quick in that match.

Shaheen's speeds have crashed fo the low 130's.

Naseem should be the quickest amongst the Pakistanis and even Mohammad Ali might pip Shaheen.

Yes, same guy . was touching 145 kmph in test and touched ~150 kmph in bpl (* thier speedometer looked bit off)

but good prospect, think bd is fastest test bowling line-up in asia. rana, taskin, ebadot all proper 140+ kmph

Yeah he is the one guy I am looking forward to watch.

Even Khaled hits the deck hard & is fairly accurate.

Tbh BD bowling unit could give them a fighting chance if only their batting shows resistance.

Taskin and Ebadot both have bowled 145 for them but this guy looks their best prospect. Just 21, look at how thin he is. There are hardly any muscles. He can get quicker.

Even BD selectors believe in pace and not trundling line & length

Bd always had some1 able to bowl 140+ kmph consistently since Murtaza.

Murtaza, Taskin, rubel, Fizz( before injury ) , ebadot , rana

Pace is not good , pace means waywardness were all coping mechanisms which Ind cricketing system started believing in deeply.

Before Shami, Bhumrah not sure if three were many Ind fast bowlers who were able to bowl good line length for longer spells

Hmmm so looks like barring Bumrah, we are probably the slowest bowling attack in Asia.
Great accomplishment, going back to our roots. I’m sure many people would be proud.

Even Bumrah these days don't clock above 147.

He mostly oscillates in 138-147 range.

We are more happy playing Avesh, Mukesh type trundlers who will be content bowling at 128-135 range.

100 percent right about Bumrah.
That’s why I keep harping on the fact that we need enforcers in the side. A vast cricket playing nation like ours should be slotting at least a couple of 150k bowlers in the squad at will. No compromises here like 90 mph is fine blah blah blah.

Based on what I have seen..we only have 2 proper 150kph bowlers at the moment

Mayank & Umran

For some reason I doubt if Tyagi will be able to get back his pace.

We have few more quicks in 144-150 range we can use them as well as an enforcer. Sen, Tyagi & hopefully Simarjeet may bowl even quicker..not sure about Harshit.

Sen

Tyagi

Simarjeet

Harshit probably

Also, this stupid management and the way they’ve treated potential express quicks, is going to have a massive negative impact on the next generation of talent. The entire system is rotten starting from the captain and the chief selector.

These morons don’t understand or are bothered of that.  Had they successfully managed to groom guys like Umran and Tyagi, we would have had 5 more such bowlers in the next 3 years.

There is no place for 150 kph bowlers in test cricket until they are as good as Akhtar or Thomson.

The likes of Lee, Wood are all ordinary bowler whos job was to give opposition free runs by bowling garbage, and that why they avg 32+.

Need more bowlers in 135-145 range and that would be ideal.

UnIronically Nahid was the easiest to handle amongst all the Bangladesh pacers

Not easy to take 20, wickets on this dead pitch.  Once early moisture was gone there was nothing in it.

BD guys don't know the art of reverse swing though

Recent Indian express article suggested that Mayank is still not 100% & NCA is working on his back muscles & strength and conditioning.  They said his body isn't able to take load of him bowling that fast yet.

I reckon Harshit will play sooner or later.  Tyagi is lost cause.

Sen has a shot still provided he is fit.

Simarjeet won't be seen until Next IPL.. dude has to work on his PR probably.  It sucks as he looks most complete of the lot.

135-145 with ability to crank 147-150 when needed is what we need for Tests.

Steyn had the ability, Morkel too was easily quick. Bond was another one,

A bowler who bowls 132-138 in T20's will most probably average lower than 130's in Tests, coz he will have to bowl more overs.

Australian quicks are pretty much in 135-145 range, no matter how many overs they bowl. Cummins has cranked upto 147-148 many times, so does Starc until few years back. Hazelwood too touched 145 often and he is slowest of the three.
