I was expecting him to play few matches in IPL but Vaibhav and Harshit played..probably they will unleash him next IPL..if he stays with them..

V.hard for Ind domestic player to get a game in their 1st season, they have to wait for 1/2 seasons until they get a game unless they are into no qualifiacation zone and these player play garbage time game. Lack of t20 exp. is costing them time this is where non-ind players have advantage they get to play so many leagues before they come to IPL and get game in IPL plus , teams like to find out if these non-ind player are any good in 1st season itself.

 

Plus this season was a season before auctions so teams would not like to show case their high potential uncapped (at Ipl )player to get them at good buy for the IPL teams

Khaleel is bowling indippers to RHB at 135 to 140 and with control.

 

This puts him ahead of our other left arm quicks.

 

Getting steep bounce from time to time too.

Fast bowlers ::

In addition to India’s frontline pacers, bowlers like Arpit Guleria, Gurnoor Brar, Yudhvir Singh, Vaibhav Arora, Simarjeet Singh, and Gurjapneet Singh have been used as net bowlers.

 

Spinner ::

Apart from Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel, the Indian camp has Tamil Nadu’s S Ajith Ram, M Siddharth, and P Vignesh (all slow left-arm orthodox bowlers). In the off-spinner’s department, apart from R Ashwin, the batsmen are facing Tamil Nadu’s Lakshay Jain and Mumbai’s Ashwin-clone Himanshu Singh.

What is the update on Mayank. He is out since IPL , can get fit in time for Australian tour . Even if he goes there to learn , it would help in England.

For Aus Ind TM and selectors are thinking of Bhumrah, Shami (they are hoping he gets fits by then changes are thin though), Siraj, Khaleel/Singh/Dayal, Rana (may be).

 

Mayank will not play test directly they are hoping if he gets fit they may bring him in some t20i or may be odi. second round of duleep trophy was initial plans look like its no more now

He is still in NCA, last update mentioned he is being prepared for red ball and is bowling 10-15 overs per day under VVS's supervision so that his muscles can get used to the load. Though talks are that he will be introduced first in shorter formats.
Umran too hasn't yet recovered from Dengue it seems.

Add Akashdeep to the list..he has real chance to play in Aus

Its upto how many bowlers Ind team wants to carry to Aus and how many pacers in a 16 member squad. This is to accommodate the a relatively newer batting side and order.

 

And right now seems like they are inclined towards a LAF not sure that is just to bring in a more capable LAF bowler in white-ball cricket or they are serious about having a LAF in tests regardless of anything

Mayank cannot play in Australia but he sure can travel as reserve and be with the team if it helps him.

 

Can he be ready for England series is the question.

They need to let the guy play longer formats first . If his body cannot take it then he can be used exclusively in  4 over cricket.

 

So important to play FC cricket for these young fast bowlers.

 

People keep taking India having 150 plus bowlers but they either are injured like this guy or not even sniffing a place in their IPL or local Ranji teams.

Why is that useless VVS in charge or NCA , he will ruin all fast bowlers. They need to hire a legit bio mechanics expert and fast bowling coach

Hope you are right. BCCI is loaded  they should be doing everything possible to help these fast bowlers.If we can get our Mcgrath we will win lot of matches.

Yar ab jo hai so hai...kya kar sakte hain.

 

There are hardly few ex cricketers who knows about fast bowling.

 

Unless they bring the specific coaches in NCA who understands the nuances and efforts of fast bowling, we have no choice but are stuck with one or the other ex- cricketer.

Is there any age limit for NCA also. If not why not make Bharat Arun the fast bowling coach.He is the guy who knows how to work with fast bowlers and spinners.
