tapandrun Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 (edited) Maphaka bowled at some pace against pak in t20i, think there were few 150 kmph as well. Bowled 1 bad over. Bowled 2 good over think went for 10 runs in 2 overs and then came back for 3rd but tried slower ones which rizwan hit for boundaries. 18/19 bowling 145+ kmph that too Left arm, can be potent in t20s. SA has a good bench of faster bowler and good mix of LA and RA bowlers. : rabada Nortje Burger Jansen Maphaka Williams Kortzee Edited December 10, 2024 by tapandrun Mosher, tweaker, Need4Speed and 1 other 4

the don Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Disappointing pace and length so far from the Indian opening bowlers. Lots of bounce there to exploit.
express bowling Posted December 14, 2024 Author Posted December 14, 2024 Saw the highlights. Bumrah looks unfit. Ball isn't zipping through. Probably hasn't recovered from the leg cramps and ensuing niggle he had during Test 2. Mosher 1

Cramps do not last that long, its either he has some minor injury or TM or he himself know that there are chances that he might need to play all 5 games. Or could be just be wet out field and ball is getting wet so no zip plus bowler do not push hard due to the wet run-up area. tweaker 1

But if you keep on bowling despite cramps, like Bumrah did last match, then some niggle may develop. Akashdeep was getting the ball to zip through in the same conditions. Mosher 1

maniac Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Akashdeep has looked very threatening today. However if he can’t cut it on this pitch tailor made for his bowling then doubt he will amount to much on flat pitches. He looks flat without the swing.
vishalvirsingh Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 139.6 by SIRAJ , the fastest he bowled till now. Mosher 1
Suhaan Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Number of bouncers to Head negligible Why not pepper him with barrage of bouncers from all of them and then send one full at stumps Lack of right aggression express bowling, vishalvirsingh and Mosher 3
vishalvirsingh Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 akash has bowled well but his pace is 134 to 137k and thats why he beats batsmen but does not get them out...he is regularly beating them and his line n length is fullish and best for GABBA but his wickets column shows zero till now but i am sure he will get wickets.
vishalvirsingh Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 i dont understand why did they pick jaddu as this kind of a pitch jaddu is not an ideal player for this pitch. play a harshit ahead of 4th pacer and only 4 pacers are enough no need to pick 5 bowlers. if fifth bowler is required , ask kohili to bowl. all the time full on aggresison.

As they say in Hyderabadi..."mazakhaan nakko Karo miyan" Kohli isn't gonna injury himself bowling. I wonder why did Yashasvi stopped bowling completely...leg spin even if semi decent is a threat anywhere in the world.

vishalvirsingh Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 akash is bowling very well , beating batsmen but some how batsman are not getting out to him but i trust him , he will get wickets. i hope he increases his pace a little and he will get better results. in india he was bowling 133 to 144k..he got few wickets at 140 + too..why has he become slower in australia. all his balls are between 132k to 138k singhvivek141 and express bowling 2

vishalvirsingh Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 on this pitch , jaddu is bowling so straight that i can bat and hit him for a 6. aussie batsman will start hitting him soon.

In Tests, usually bowlers clock bit slower to conserve energy and dont go all out. Bumrah is consistently in 136-138k range, Siraj & Akashdeep around 132-134k.
