He was there for ages and just two deliveries away from drawing the match with Sri Lanka trying the SAME tactics of short ball, then defensive fields to give the bowlers a rest, then back to the short ball. Cook has one of the best new ball pair of bowlers England have had in decades, another guy who can bowl sustained spells around 90mph, a workhorse in Stokes. Plus others like Jordan/Woakes/Finn waiting for their chance. Dhoni has Ishant, a military medium bowler like Bhuvi, and Shami. No test captain in the world would take the fast bowlers that India have.

Once again you look at the symptoms instead of disease English media were all over Cook for his inability to take the last wicket in the first innings, but somehow our captain is a holy cow, to be left alone Our bowlers did outbowl their seasoned bowlers for quite a bit in the first innings, but hey, it is the easiest thing in the world to sit back, just claim something is un fixable, just sucks and then relax

Listen ,You would not seen such thread if this was one of those few occasions when our captain missed the trick ,but he and his team does this very regularly .Hence,he deserve these verbal stones thrown at him ... Why Yadav was not selected? Even if he had done diddly on the tour, it was worth it when other bowlers aren't doing any better.. At the end of day people will judge, how you finished the match... By being moar defensive than the rival Kaptaan... You don't like Test matches and hence you like these type of pitches so that batsmen can make merry and you can continue blame your bowlers... You got a sub continent like pitch and you immediately displayed your subcontinental mentality of getting a boring draw....mind you, there's a difference between a boring and an exciting draw...You like to have test matches with 3 innings maximum between both teams... Spectators be damned... At least in England spectators throng to see test matches so please don't bring you trademark Indian defensive mentality of not declaring to end the match in a boring draws... Tailenders batting and batsmen bowling part timers.. If as a captain you hate test cricket then give somebody else chance to lead but please don't deliberately harm it by the farcical show on evidence... Lankans would've declared the innings to have a go at the English batsmen... That's why they won the series... I'm afraid, the way this Dhobi mofo is going about in this series, there's a good chance of England winning it..l
