Yes true. Raina is good mainly for his role in the team. He also does rescue acts (sometimes) when we screw up in the middle stages. If it weren't for Raina's knocks, we would have lost against Pak in the WC 2011. Even against Aus, he played a crucial knock supporting Yuvi. Yes we do need a stable top order to do setup games in WC and even in England.

bowling is the crucial factor. you have the best odi batsmen but if bowlers get thrashed, scoreboard pressure will count So.. Get your young bowlers in. Someone like kulkarni and mohit should play. I'd want umesh but he is more for tests. Should have had aaron. But we need pace so either shami or umesh (or both!) should play

We need solidity in the middle order @ no. 4 which rayudu / tiwary are expected to provide & @ no. 5 someone who can accelerate for longer period with some consistentency like jadhav. Dhoni, jadeja then can come in & finish it. I think we need to learn from sa & nz tours that we need these plans to score big runs especially while chasing.

Kedar Jadhav will be crushed. The selectors will have killed off another good talent with a move like this. There really wasn't a whole lot more he could've done to prove his case, but I guess that's not enough for the selectors. I'm sick of this.

. Samson is the right selection ahead of kedar. Kedar is 30 while Samson is 19. Samson is more explosive and more effective in limited overs cricket.

Aaron might play tomorrow. Even I want Aaron in the team. I still think Aaron will replace Mohit Sharma in the future.

Batsmen -- selection is more or less on expected lines. Would have preferred Jadhav in place of Rayudu. Spinners -- why Karn Sharma ? Any quality that separates him from the rest ? Pacers ---Why Umesh for ODI ? He is s test bowler. Why no Aaron ? BK and Shami not rested ! There is no " bounce pacer " in the lineup. That may cause some problems.All pacers, apart from Kulkarni, are on the shorter side. Not ideal for outside sub- continent tournaments. The pace lineup is strange.
