Pankaj Singh looked good first day of the first test. After that , he seems to have run out if steam .... pace down .... not displaying much skills either on a consistent basis. Not looking good atleast this series.

The drop if no results rule only applies to those with limited potential. Same rules don't apply for someone more talented as with any sport or anything. Pankaj's career shouldn't end completely based off 1 or 2 tests. He will get wickets at some stage this test anyway though.

Even with that his overall career is very very poor. Pankaj Is below that. So I think he may have played his last test series or even last test.

Pankaj was between 135 to 140k in his first spell in which jaddu dropped cook. After that he has bowled a couple of good balls else everything else ordinary. If he fails here then like Vk plays for karna taka pankaj shud play for rajasthan only..forget india.

Its gotta do with the huffy puffy action he has,More high arm action will allow him to put his body effort into the ball and hit the deck harder even at full length

If umesh or varun wud have been as unsuccessful As Pankaj has been till now- Wud Dhoni have backed them as well. I am complimenting Dhoni of backing Pankaj to the hilt... But why did umesh always got step motherly treatment from Dhoni. All Fast bowlers give runs but they get you wickets...n finally win the game. Out of form cook played bhuvi pankaj and shammi from 18 yards...n nullified the swing. Varun pushed him back n got him out. Has Dhoni become a better captain to fast bowlers now. Dhoni has backed mohit sharma, pankaj singh even bhuvi now... Will he back umesh and varun more in future.

I guess some selectors openly said he is slow and so not selected. They were 100% correct.

There were some slow medium pacers as tall as pankaj but they had a lot of skills... Venky was as fast as pankaj but he was too skillfully so he cud play for india... Sorry pankaj cannot compare to Venky. ..so can't play for india. We serious cricket fans should also not get excited about ordinary medium pacers.
