asterix Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Pretty soon' date=' he will be out of both test and ODI teams without playing anything.[/quote'] If that happens, he should quit playing cricket and dedicate his efforts to take whatever revenge possible against Dhoni... Maybe sue him... Many Indian Cricket fans and those players whose careers got destroyed by Dhoni, will definitely help him in that matter...
adi B Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 its crystal clear that dhoni doesnt like yadav, not selecting him in the test squad and treating him worst than the 4th seamer in odis gives us clear indications of that. the problem is,if you dont wanna play him, dont pick him then.better for him to play in the domestic games(not occuring right now but in general). yadav is ageing as well, gonna be 28.dhoni has destroyed his confidence,i am pretty sure he'll fade away in a year unless he plays a full tour

For a brief period there was talk about we needing pace bowler and because of that Umesh, Aaron, etc came up where previously we just used to go for line and length bowlers. Now under Dhoni's reign that is set back another 20 years. Every will try to swing it like Mohit

Its over for him. Dhoni hates him and has some agenda against him. Dude might as well retire
kosingh Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 An elite group of former Indian gentle medium pacers is believed to be working with Indian pace man Umesh Yadav, trying to get him to reduce his pace without losing accuracy. Said Yadav, "Yes, it is true that I am spending a lot of time in the nets with the coaches trying to cut down my pace. Unfortunately, I cannot reduce my height, but I am trying to run in slower, and I have cut down on proteins in my diet so that I can reduce my nourishment levels. My aim is to reduce my speed by around 10 Km so that I can get a chance to get selected in the playing XI"
Crookbond Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Which fast bowler does not play LOIs? Pace can be a great weapon even in the limited format. I am not talking about England here with their weird fetish for only Ashes And not to forget that Yadav hasn't played tests for 2 years now Current day great fast bowlers who are phenoms in Tests have played significantly less ODIs when they started their career.

Marco Polo Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 Umesh yadav should bowl a beamer to dhobi in nets and break his ****in wrist and bench him for the next 6 months. Its the only way umesh yadav can get a game.
tweaker Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Yadav will have to bowl in 120 kmph speed to impress Dhoni otherwise Dhoni will choose unfit Mohit Sharma over Umesh Yadav
ThePhenomenal1 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 sad that seamers in tests will be bhuvi, shami and ishant, and with aaron in the mix, the sad part is that there is now no space for yadav! thanks dhoni, you ass
kosingh Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 It is absolutely disgraceful that guys like Pankaj Singh, Stuart Binny and Dhawal Kulkarni get games but Umesh does not. Mahi Magic.
Vilander Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 It is absolutely disgraceful that guys like Pankaj Singh, Stuart Binny and Dhawal Kulkarni get games but Umesh does not. Mahi Magic. other than him agree with everything said, Pankaj did not live up to expectations but definitely deserved a game.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 fast, genuine quick bowlers should be given priority and they always shine through, i.e. aaron in the tests. umesh looked good in the ipl and took wickets in his return to odis in 2013
Muloghonto Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 This is the downfall of a wicketkeeping captain in this era of wicketkeeping batsmen. If you want your wicketkeeper to score a lot of runs, then obviously, he will care more about how sore his hands are when batting. I used to be wicket keeper and i had this problem. Its not that all wicket keepers suck at batting which is why we bat at 7 or 8, its because our hands & backs get sore. A sore hand is far worse for batting than a sore back ( to most degree). Now when you make this guy a captain, obviously he is going to not pick fast men who damage his hands even more.
Mariyam Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Mariyam' date=' your views are directly proportional to how good/cool a cricket looks so......... World cup was 3 years ago[/quote'] That is not true. I am a fan of Tendulkar even though he's fat and pudgy.
vishalvirsingh Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Pankaj is past his prime...His average speed was 131 possibly ..His out swing was ok but in swing average. Bhuvi was bowling at 130k average speed with big swing.... Do u beleive a 131 average pace bowler with little out swinging skills suceed in international cricket. D kulkarni is also an average 131 bowler with some swing.... Who in india beleive that he will be a success.

Will umesh play tommorow.

Not sure if above is the right reason.
maniac Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Sad to see a career ending unjustly in front of us...I mean we have heard of horror stories pre 90's about even in this era with all the available media and transperency this is blatant injustice.
