Biggest villain in these type of stories are those jobless relatives and neighbors in Indian society whose sole job is to shame the victim and create fear among future victims from reporting the crime as that will bring "shame" to the family. Those relatives and neighbors are the biggest culprit forcing victims to be quiet and letting the rapists free of any punishment. Think of how many victims and their families out there never reported the crime thinking these POS relatives and neighbors would blame the girl for letting it happen and create condescending rumors. Think of how many abused spouses never filed for divorce due to this very shame, choosing to sacrifice their own happiness and letting their abusive spouses get away with these crimes.
++ couldn have said any better. Hope her father gets away with a minimal punishment

Since you can only understand through examples of crimes involving your family, answer this - If the rapist in OP was your father, your brother or your son, would you still hail the man who tortured him and then killed him as a hero?
Yes

its not a good idea to bring family for the arguments even in a passive way..

No' date=' I don't if he is a rapist[/quote'] So all those law-makers who made laws for rape do not love their daughters enough, as did not have torture coupled with death as a punishment for rape? All those judges who did not give torture and death as punishment? Also, rapes are of different kind. Some are most brutal and violent rapes, some are much less so, relatively speaking. Without even knowing what kind of a rape it was, you are still saying what you are saying? I'd say your answers are dishonest answers.

I know. Very unpleasant idea. But both Rahulrulez and Veer brought in family for putting their arguments, rather their conclusions.

It is very easy to be a moral judge sitting on an online forum but not that difficult to assess the circumstances under which the father took these drastic measures.

Human emotions , reactions to a tragedy vary from person to person influences by myriad of factors. Would I have done the same. Possibly not. But if someone does would you understand. Most certainly. I suggest you guys watch this movie where Samuel jackson's daughter get brutally mass raped and abused by pissing on her. Her father take the law into his own hands and kill those guys. Real life is not movie. But it allows you put yourself in the shoes of victim. You think killing that guy was the justice. No that is much less. Nothing can compensate a dad. 220px-Time_to_kill_poster.jpg

On an online forum, its easier to celebrate the impulsive actions of torture followed by murder as heroics, coz anything else you say will be considered a moral lecture, idealism and a proof that you dont love the women in your family.

Missus beetle, some rapes are much more brutal than other rapes which is why there is a sentencing range for rapes..

Under rage rapist gets the worst punishment. This is true all over the world. They are considered to be the worst of worst criminals. Not bank robbers. Not chain snatcher not even serial killers. That is why there is a sense of satisfaction when a rapist gets justice anyway. This is not just online. This is true offline too. Not all fathers would react the same way. When one does he definitely will have majority of support from public. You may not do. Justifiable homicides my not be able to be proven by court. But public will consider it justifiable.

Why would a rapist go to his victim's house and casually have dinner in the first place? :hmmm: Something in this story does not add up. #fishy.

So for this case, they will celebrate the father who tortured and murderer the rapist ,without themselves knowing the extent of damage caused to the girl, as a hero. And judge any one else who doesn't. Sounds similar to provisions in blasphamy law / sharia law in certain countries.

When you hear rape yor first thought won,t be the "degree" of rape. You simply assume it is a "soft rape". Let us presume this girl was violently raped. Would you agree to the justice handed out by the dad?. Fact that a dad was driven to a point should have given you a hint that it was not a simple statutory rape.
