Those guys were not unknown and performed in their competitions International cricket is never un known and ipl has not benefited any Indian quick bowlers the guys who were quick before are quick now ...no one increased pace for ipl so this theory is flawed Also I gave u example of who they targeted the bowlers who succeeded and who get to play and let me give you hint it's not quickest bowlers not even guys like Cummings get consistent run

Kamran Khan(it's a different story he turned out to be a chucker) and Umesh Yadav were brought in to the side because of their pace....I never heard of Umesh Yadav before he played in IPL 2 or 3 I beleive....He was neither an u-19 star or a domestic legend. How tall are JS, IS, UY and VA? And btw - just purely between under-achievers RP Singh (before he became motu) and VRV Singh (no swing, gun-barrel straight yes), who had higher speeds? At their best, speed-wise, RP Singh and VRV Singh, are they comparable to Mohd. Shami (not skill comparison, just pace)...???

RP at his best had a normal speed of 135 k to 142 k. He even went upto 145 to 148 k on rare occasions. Then he slowed down to 130 to 140 k and then even slower , when he fattened up, to around 125 to 137 k. VRV Singh did not play much international cricket. When he did, he bowled 135 to 145 k in ODIs and 130 to 142 k in tests. Shami normally bowls 135 to 143/145 k. Occasionally upto 147/149 k. But he is far more consistent than RP and VRV in terms of high average pace.

True..... as far as hostile bowling is concerned. Pace + bounce is more hostile than just pace ... provided decent accuracy is there. I too have often been surprised why Morkel has not bowled at the body more often. He could have been far more hostile.

I have watched srinath from 1996.of all Indian fast bowlers I have watched aaron is the quickest.

Srinath debuted in 1991 just before Worldcup in Australia.. in the 5 test series.Not sure if his speeds were checked during the tests & the world cup

BK is about 5'9"-10". Aaron is about 5'11"-6' look at the above video, Kohli is 5'10" and he is taller than Kohli. Umesh is about 5'10-11".

VRV was quicker than RP in 2006.

Seriously quick and deadly, except for the final game were they lost the plot. See the Zim/England/Pak games they were fine ones, in the first Aus game we did not ave enough runs 120 odd in the second one these guys imploded..other games these trio were terrorizing all comers, esp Eng/Zim who were given a torrid time. Zim at that time was a good team bit like NZ now..very good on their day.
