No bouncers by NZ,Pakis bowled short balls every over(even the spinners)

And we will return to regular Test cricket where Johnson will send bouncers right across the batsman's ear.... Dhawan is likely to get hit on the head... He plays pull shots very close to the body... Hopefully not as tragic as the incident is u cant take the competitiveness out of the sport. Unfortunate deaths happen but the sport has to move on. The cricket ball is capable of killing if it hits the perfect spot but nearly everything u do has risk involved in it even if it's driving. Rare deaths happen in combat & contact sports too but they cannot suddenly not try their 100% in the next fight/match because of a tragic incident as it would take competitiveness out of the sport and basically ruin it. So they can look at helmet design, maybe something extending to neck but bowlers should bowl just as many bouncers with just as much intent.

Bowlers will bowl bouncers with not quite the intent in mind to knock batsman's head off. Temporarily atleast so this may reduce some like MJ's effectiveness who relies alot on aggression and pace. Batsmen on the other hand would be more afraid to take their eyes of the ball which may work in their favour. Although it is natural instinct sometimes so will be hard to do that. They overall would be more fearful when somelike MJ runs in though.

Ball comes at high seed.. It will hurt. Let us consider it as a freak accident which is what actually it is. Remember how we enjoyed MJ bowling. Not many said "it will hurt them he should not bowl".

I don't think cricket was made to be played how it is played now because cricket ball hurts. T20 cricket is as dangerous to bowlers as bowling bouncers in tests to batsmen. Remember Keegan Meth's teeth accident. There have been times when bowlers escape by centimeters when batsmen hit hard towards them straight.

Is there any other material that can offer all that leather ball offers and is not as hard?

A Soccer Ball hit with incredible force ,hitting you on a sensitive part of a person's body can be lethal as well. This was an unfortunate,unintentional freak and tragic accident....let's not read too much into this

This was an unfortunate,unintentional freak and tragic accident....let's not read too much into this soccer ball is lot softer and lot bigger so area of impact is much bigger and injuries like this tbh are not possible with it if soccer ball hit in similar area it would have hit his ear and head too and i am sure nothing big would have happened
