This is a major unfortunate incident.. what happend to Hughes.. I hope he recovers fast.. Having said that.. what are the consequences of this incident.. will the fast bowlers be bowling less bouncers?? or no bouncers at all?? Im curious how the fast bowlers going to react from this .... Will Mitchy stilly be aiming to knock of batsmen with bouncers?? ( i mean bounce them out..)

Nothing will change, maybe for few days a lot less bouncers aiming for the head but after that everything will go the way it was just like what happens when we see an accident on a road.

watched the video no youtube and that ball took off and Hughes kinda turned his head to attempt the hook,if we see these kind of pitches for our tests then match will be over in 3 days.

Specifically the helmets should do a better job at protecting the vulnerable side areas overlying the temporal and parietal bones which are thin easily broken.

+1 Some of the more sensitive areas in the head like area below the ears etc. are still exposed with these helmets. Also sometimes they let the ball hit the head.

Shehzad got hit with a 134 kph ball. We do NOT know where Hughes was hit - there's a good chance the ball missed the helmet because of Hughes position.

It probably hit just beside the left ear on backside of the head. Sean Abbott is also quicker than Corey Anderson and was bowling on a quicker pitch.

Thank GOD DHoni is not captaining the first test.. i am sure Kohli is aggressively supporting fast bowlers and is more fond of Umesh and Varun as compared to Bhuvi... he has been appreciating umesh and was vocal in sharing that there are 4 140k bowlers in our team.. he meant all 4 bowlers apart from Bhuvi.

M.Johnson, Hazelwood and Harris will pepper the Indian team helmets. They will try to intimidate Dhawan and rest of our bats. Team India need to select Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron in the 11 for Brisbane, so we can fight fire-with-fire if need be, and have our raw pace ammunition ready. Though UY and VA are less accurate with their radar than MJ, Hazel and Harris.

I don't see Aussie bowlers will let up, they will pepper Indian batsmen with short pitch stuff. Also as regrettable as this incident is, it is a psychological blow to India visiting team, it will place doubts and fears in Indian batsmen after the Hughes incident. Interesting times and test ahead.
