putrevus Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Is Pujara becoming this generation's Manjerekar who has been found lacking both in technique and I have to say temperament too, He has been the biggest disappointment of all players including bowlers. After first test in SA, I really thought here is the guy who is so compact and has right temperament for tests.

He is still quite young and has plenty of time to make a comeback. He has got a number of starts in England and Aus but has not been able to convert those. It can happen to anyone. Kohli looked worse than him in England.

Exactly the point - Kohli was out-and-out hopeless, indicating a technical deficiency, which can be fixed. Che's problems stem from temperament - harder to fix. He's not young anymore - nearly 37 and with nearly 30 tests xperience.

I find nothing seriously wrong with him.He played decently could not convert starts,got some good balls rough calls,Part and parcel first away tour to eng,aus.He is a class player. He is not a odi player so the pressure on him is more.shocking omission.

The cut shot which works for him he needs to start playing it from higher position instead of playing it upward so that he can control extra bounce ...long term he will deliver as even now he bats for decently long time which shows he can bat but small glitches and low confidence with some umpiring errors really made him struggle to play big inning

RedFever Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 WestIndies pulling out of the test tour was a big blow for Pujara. More than anything else he really needed those two home tests to get back to form.
