Ajinkya's main shortcoming?

doesn't have a strong will like Dravid, Kohli in pressure situations, his wicket will fall very quickly he is not able to stamp his foot down and say **** off iam staying here. he has to become mentally stronger agree/disagree?

he looks so nervous. suddenly lost form in the second half of the england tour.
Like the rest of the batsmen were scoring centuries. What you said applies to the whole team.

When Rahane (before SA tour) - I thought the same, that he lacks mental fortitude. But in SA he proved us (naysayers) wrong. That SA attack was a very strong bowling attack that put him under pressure but he fought.

Oh come on.. Rahane is 100x better than Rohit and that was a howler  With Rahane and Kohli we would have had great chance to win this test today

His main shortcoming is his bad luck. Max no of howlers against him in recent times. Pretty sure he hates Kohli/BCCI for their stance regarding DRS.

Rahane is very good against pace , bounce and swing / seam. He is a gutsy fighter. Unlucky too. But, I am disappointed with the way he is playing spin. He is trying to play too many balls. Not playing a lot of deliveries, padding up with an exaggerated forward movement etc. are some techniques which the really good players of spin use on a turning pitch.

His body language and facial expression looks like he is nervous and timid but dont think he is mentally weak. He has scored runs in SA, NZ, England consistently against good bowling attacks in tricky situations. His innings at Lord's was a match winning one. He had been unlucky with some decisions and got some very good deliveries recently. I think he will do well in tests.

we will see in the next pressure situation when we are 10/3 or smthg like that *I want to be proved wrong*
Well India were 80 /4 in Durban where he scored under pressure, even in lords we were ****ed and rahane saved us.these were crucial pressure situation knock, even at old Trafford, we were 8/4 ,ajinkya got a fifty run partnership with Dhoni in absolute impossible conditions

I kid u not, this guy has got out at least 5 times in this year due to howlers yet has a strong away avg of 41 in aus, saf, nzl, eng

Has been unlucky but I think people have now start respecting him in team ..and tells you a lot about him as cricketer ...heck he was promoted to number 5 when rohit was still in team and hyped ..

I wonder if his body language is the reason he is wrongly give out so often. Every time the bowler appeals, Rahane looks at the umpire with this frightened, guilty look like he just did something terrible. Maybe he should look at the umpire with a "you kidding me, no way are you going to even consider that bogus appeal" look

Was that not under pressure ?all his career he has been under pressure and batting in or after mini collapse because of geniuses like rohit .. That is last thing I will blame him for right now .
