Islam is a fantastic religion in a monarchy. just doesn't sit well in democracy. I liked the way how Christians evolved into Protestantism from Roman Catholics to suit the changing times. You guys (not "you", i mean mullahs) dont let muslims change their ideas with changing times. what say?

All Madrassas in India are free, de jure. And the vast majority of them teach science ( or what we in India call secular subjects) in addition to religious studies. Many madrassas in Maharashtra, have a substantial minority of non Muslim students. Mostly children of migrant labourers who can't afford an education and don't want their kids to learn in Marathi medium schools. Don't make a generalization on madrassas based on what you see/read about the madrassas in the regions of the Afghan-Pakistani border. That is not representative at all.
