I fail to understand this argument. Who will decide which is marginal and which is not. Once there is technology' date=' our tolerance for error reduces a lot. Snicko is the best technology out of all three for me. It's pretty simple and been out there for ages, but it was never used in sports. I don't want to see Hot spot for nicks, Snicko is the best one for it. Even if they don't want to use Hawk Eye for LBWS, atleast just use Snicko technology to save some other decisions which are going wrong all the time.

FYI, For a long, long time - snicko was unreliable. It was not real time and required manual intervention. It was ONLY in 2010 that the real-time snickometer was available. In case of doubts like bat-pad, ball-pad etc. it can't alone make the decision - requires hotspot. The first snickometer was revealed in 1999 IIRC.

I think you got me wrong - I meant that snickometer wasn't perfect until 2010.

I am for DRS as long as it does not give any advantages to the team that knows how to use it better. We are playing cricket here (where cricketing skills alone should matter) and not brain games with technology.

Yes I am in favour of it. 1) It will help the umpires make better decisions 2) Its implementation will stop the annoying charade that happens on commentary every time there is an appeal. "Remember, no DRS in this series so they can't review it" yes of course I ****ing remember you've said that about 100 times today give it a rest

DRS is mostly fine, its the application of it that is horrid by teams. Its rarely used for the howler. some teams cant resist using it as soon as possible, thinking every umpire decision is against them, before they know it the 2 reviews are gone and then comes the howler.
