The guy has dropped dozens of sitters in ODIs as well. Remember when the ball smashed into his face when he was trying to take a skier with his fingers stylishly pointing upward.
Hahahaha. AVKC-ites had a month-long party over it. Kohli's and Mooli's faux pas are the two most legendary ones in IPL.

5.5 Ashwin to Imrul Kayes, no run, is that a drop? Sharp turn from outside leg and Kayes comes forward to defend, edges it onto his thigh pad, and to the left of Kohli at slip. He dived, and it definitely carried to him, low to his left, and he got a hand to it. Not the first catch he's dropped in the recent past Such an actor this guy is. Struts around like he is the greatest fielder of all time but misses catches every single innings.

First of all it is Test match which itself is more boring than watching a money plant grow. No doubt he is thinking about something else in the ground. He will drop catches, shout MC BC but still will be the first name in the team sheet and you can keep whining as much as you can :finger:

^ Once the bowler has started the run up, fielders tend to shut off what they are thinking and concentrate on the ball, especially slips, point and gully. Of course his will be the first name on the team sheet, no one gets selected for fielding as their primary skill, and no one is asking for him to be dropped.

I couldn't find a previous thread about India's disastrous SLip fielding......Kohli has transformed into a beast with the bat and with his fitness....Hope he has improved this skill as well which probably cost us more matches than his batting failures.

With the long test season coming up for India hope this aspect is not ignored......with our bowlers,we need to take every chance.

Back in the day when we had Dravid,Sehwag and Laxman in the slips that was more effective than the agile and athletic fielders we have now.
