Surprised at hafeez comment on losing the india match he wAs blaming indian media. I thought he was good guy now only one good guy left in the team misbah. Misbah has amazing fitness for a 41 yr old. Feel bad for him as his career will end with out a proper send off.this reminds of Inzy send off in 2007.

Why did WI not hold on to those chances and apply pressure with their main quicks to bowl out Pak for less than 100 ? A part of me want to see this Pak side make it to the quarter finals (them being knocked out would take off a lot of shine off the tournament), but then again a part of me still believe this team has the ability to rise from the ashes and surprise everyone if they do manage to go past the league stage. I'd rather not take a chance, better they don't make it to the quarter finals.

Coming to the second question 1. Stop Glorifying hacks like Afridi. That two-bit cricketer wouldn't even play 10 matches in a decent team and he gets to play a 20+ year career. He brings his drama,politics and is essentially a bad influence on the youngsters.. Seeing him play to the gallery would make the future cricketers attempt to do the same. The same way that pakistan have produced good bowlers by looking at Imran,Wasim,Waqar...they now produce hopeless slogs with no technique and temperament for the bigger game by idolizing Afridi. 2. Start touring with the 'A' and the U19 Teams to places like India , Aus , NZ , SA. This will get them the much needed exposure to various other conditions. Restricting yourself to flatbeds of karachi and lahore will not help. 3. Have a definite improvement plan with short term gains , long terms gains and having the priority of long term gains. You can't fix everything wrong in one month. You would need to have the mindsets of the administrators , the players , the media and the fans change. 4. Bring International Cricket back to Pakistan. The game is in trouble of dying at grass-roots level with no International cricket being played. This is imperative both to get revenue as well as to build interest in Cricket as a viable career for the youth P.S - not talking about the corruption / selection policies as those are secondary

They face lack of talent. Plus their administrators and players (barring some) are complete morons. But feel very sad to see fellow Indians be so mean to them. Some are saying they are laughing at them due to their fans. Then by the same logic, do you hate Sachin due to Sachinistas? There will be idiots in every country. Sure, there will be way more conspiracy theorists in Pakistan (than any country :giggle:) and those guys are lame but they have pretty good awesome fans (just like we have in India). So laughing at them due to the stupidity of their fans is lame IMHO. Anyhoo....

Doesn't mean he will become Tendulkar. Just Pakistan's version of him. Abdul Razzaq's statement was the crazy one.

All we have managed in the last 3/4 months is a win against them (not counting Afghanistan warm up). Lots of issues in our bowling department as well. Have witnessed too many batting collapses of late. We beat a team that is out of form and unprepared for these conditions. Tomorrow's SA match is going to be crucial for us and will be a fair indicator of our competitiveness. Hopefully we got some momentum from the first match as we still need to cross various levels to stand a chance in this WC.
