To be honest, Ravi Shastri isn't a bad choice as he was very close to eh players and understand all of them well. Also all players know him well as they are used to seeing him with star sports team every time. Plus his recent stint with INdian team has just got him closer to the team. I won't be surprised if he takes over fletcher.

One of the reasons why the Dhoni-Kirsten combo worked was because while Dhoni is a laid back guy, Kirsten was someone who would do the micro-managing. My suggestion would be to have Kumble as coach with Sanjay Bangar as his assistant. Shastri can carry on as team manager.
